Meeting called to order 1935. Pledge and moment of silence.

Minutes from the Previous Meeting. Motion to accept June minutes as amended.
Minutes were not posted until August 2nd due to server crash. Duly seconded and
approved. Reminder - minutes of all meeting will be posted on our website (http://www.pes1.com/cpoa/).
Treasurers Report: Savings balance $2,168.92. Checking balance $3,000.25.
Expect check from March fundraiser. Motion to accept report as read. Duly seconded and
approved.
Committees
- Race Chief Short thinks it might be mistake to run double shifts since we
dont have enough people to run single shifts. Senior Chief Roy met with Southcom to
talk up 1st class participation.
- Scholarship
Master Chief LaCoursiere and Chief Tedlow have each received one
application.
- Philanthropy
NTR.
- Ship Liaison
Senior Chief Staff spoke about the USS Nassau visit. There are 3
YPs coming in Sunday from Anapolis. Reception will be on the beach at the Yankee Clipper.
Commissioning of the USS Gridley will be at the Port of Miami. POC Raul Mas Camosas,
Saturday, February 10, 2007. Wednesday, February 7th will be our Chief Petty
Officers reception.

Senior Chief Roy and Chief Lippincott will be meeting about this.
- Initiation
Chief Viggiano said results finally came out. Dont know all
the numbers but at least 11. Next Friday at 1700 will meet and greet at Markham Park,
August 11th. T-shirts turned over to selectees. September 16th at
1300 for pinning and 1500 for Khaki Ball. Training is every Friday starting with PT at the
park.
Old Business
- Patricia will be going ahead with the holiday party plans as approved last month. Motion
to have at Pine Island Ridge Country Club. Duly seconded and approved.
New Business
- Motion to set aside $500 for the USS Gridley on February 7th. Duly seconded
and approved.
- Will be setting up a working party to complete a gazebo in October. Will need at least 8
people and 3 hours.
Good of the Order
- CMC from Leyte Gulf had death in family.
Motion to adjourn, 2046. Duly seconded and passed.
