CPOA meeting was called to order by Pam at 1930
 
Pledge of Allegiance and Moment of Silence followed by the Sailors Creed.

Minutes from the Previous Meeting. Motion to accept minutes as posted. Duly seconded and approved.

 

Treasurer’s Report:

o   Chuck - Holiday Party planning: Tropical Acres commitment. Deposit of $150 has been paid. $50 per person: Chilean Sea Bass or Filet Mignon: Cash bar at the table. December 14, 2024. 1800 for passed Hors D’oeuvres and 1900 for dinner. Raffle 5 for $10 or arm’s length for $20. Gift swap – White elephant max gift value $25. Ron will post form for dinner sign ups on website. Raffle: Saber. Don’t sign up unless you’re willing to pay for the meal regardless if you attend. Total amount of 29 persons have purchased tickets as of the date of this meeting.

Uniform: Khaki or civi’s (CPOA shirt)

·        Old Business:

o   Member dues: New cycle begins in January.

o   Updated website – Pam connected with Vetan. He has not had time to work on the website as he’ll get to it soon.

o   T-shirts – design 80% done per Gary

o   Nova SE University – Funding is live again.

o   Confirmed: CPOA meeting at the NRC on January 11 at 1630.

 

·        New Business:

o   Fiscal year 2025 nominations:

§  Ron for Treasurer – no opposition

§  Pam for President – no opposition

§  AJ for Secretary – no opposition

§  Natalie for VP – no opposition

§  Rick for VP – no opposition

§  Gary for President – no opposition

·        Vote: Pam for President – 7

·        Vote: Gary for President – 2

·        Vote: Natalie for VP – 10

·        Vote: AJ for Secretary – unanimous

·        Vote: Ron for Treasurer - unanimous

o   Mike brought up a possible way of raising monies for the association. Older members can choose to buy an insurance policy where the CPOA pays the premium and the CPOA also collects the death benefit at the time of the member’s passing. Members will give this concept some thought and discuss at future meetings.

·        Good of the Order:

o   Annual dues are being raised as of FY 2025 from $20 to $25
