CPOA meeting was called to order by Pam at 1933
 
Pledge of Allegiance and Moment of Silence followed by the Sailors Creed.

Happy Veterans day from our President

Minutes from the Previous Meeting. Motion to accept minutes as posted. Duly seconded and approved.

Treasurer’s Report:

Committees: 

 

·        Awards – Chief Short - NTR

·       Ship Liaison – Senior Chief Starr – NTR

·        Fleet Week – Al Starr -  NTR

·         CRYC – Master Chief LaCoursiere –

The CRYC has approved the Chief’s reception for the Wednesday during Fleet Week. The meetings should start in January. Unsure of next year’s Fleet Week location.

·      VA Liaison – BMCM Chuck Robertson – NTR

·        MWR – HMC Rick Tedlow

o    

o   Navy Ball – AJ: Possible dates are being considered. The venue has been chosen: Quadomain (Hollywood Beach). Deconflicting with Fleet Week, it will be pushed to 2025.

o   Rick - Holiday Party planning: Tropical Acres commitment. Deposit of $150 has been paid. $50 per person: Chilean Sea Bass or Filet Mignon: Cash bar at the table. December 14, 2024. 1800 for passed Hors D’oeuvres and 1900 for dinner. Raffle 5 for $10 or arm’s length for $20. Gift swap – White elephant max gift value $25. Ron will post form for dinner sign ups on website. Raffle: Saber. Don’t sign up unless you’re willing to pay for the meal regardless if you attend.

Uniform: Khaki or civi’s (CPOA shirt)

·        Old Business:

o   Member dues: New cycle begins in January.

o   Updated website – Pam connected with Vetan. He has not had time to work on the website as he’ll get to it soon.

o   Andrew made a suggestion during the October meeting to have a CPOA meeting at the NRC on January 11 at 1630. This tentative plan is still in motion.

·        New Business:

o   Fiscal year 2025 nominations:

o   Ron for Treasurer – no opposition

o   Pam for President – no opposition

o   AJ for Secretary – no opposition

o   Natalie for VP – no opposition

o   Rick for VP – no opposition

o   Information by Pam: Gary purchased 3 sabers to raffle off. One for the holiday party and the other 2 for additional raffles throughout the year.

·        Good of the Order:

o   AJ: Chief Arnie Correia (member) has a friend with a motor whale boat that’s been completely rehabbed. AJ suggested we have it staged at the CRYC to be viewed by all during the reception. Paul will run it by the club.   

Motion to adjourn: Duly seconded and passed at 2016.
