Chief Petty Officers Association of Miami
Meeting called to order 1950 . Pledge and moment of silence. Because of late start and work to be done with Selectees, President asked for motion to amend agenda and proceed with abbreviated version. Motion made, duly seconded and passed.

Committee Reports
| Race – Chief Short and Chief Palfrey will be handling this. September 26-28 will be the Miami Gran Prix. Will need 15 people on Friday, 20 on each Saturday and Sunday. This is a practice run for November. This is downtown Miami. Need volunteers. Nov 13-16 for Nascar races. Norm needs names now. |
| Initiation – Because PBA Hall not available, discussed alternate sites. Maxwell room available at Downtowner, cost $11.95 per person, (appetizers, unlimited soft drinks or coffee). Discussion about Downtowner. Chief Starr suggested Sea Cadet Hall. Group of chiefs walked over to see if suitable. Motion to hold at Sea Cadet Hall, funding for refreshments not to exceed $500. Duly seconded and passed. Discussion about beer. Motion to bring beer and soda and sell for $1. Duly seconded and passed. |

| Suggestion about chiefs reception for USS Reagan. Discussion Motion to set aside for reception not to exceed $500. Duly seconded and passed. |
