Meeting and Holiday Party.

Honorable members and guests present:

Introduction of officers for 2005: Chief Powell, president. Chief Tedlow, vice-president. Chief Hererra, treasurer. Gayle Malone-Neary, secretary.

Introduction of special guests: BMC Perez just back from Iraq. Senior Chief Starr recognized new Coast Guard chiefs. New members MMC Cristopher Marcello and NEC Jason Nadolinski.

Special recognitions presented by Chief Powell:

Armed Forces Service Center Keith Whitebeck unable to attend. Chief Tedlow will send him $500 donation.
Recognized Pat Hughes for her volunteering at the races all 5 days and presented a Certificate of appreciation.
Recognized Chief Mike Shore for his work coordinating the races and presented a Certificate of appreciation.
Recognized Gayle Malone-Neary for her work at the races and presented a Certificate of appreciation.
Recognized Chief Bagley’s work at the races.
Recognized Senior Chief Starr’s contribution to the retirement ceremony.
Recognized Broward County Council of the Navy League of the United States members present: President Joe Giambrone, Secretary Marianne Giambrone, First Vice-president Gayle Malone-Neary.
Congratulated Chief Ken Larson on his marriage to Barbara.
Chief Tedlow congratulated Chief Powell on his birthday.

Retirement ceremonies:

YNC Maurice Anderson retiring. BMC Perez read his bio.
QMC John Petroske retiring. QMC Lesser read his bio.
CSC Gary Sturm retiring. ETC C Schuchman read his bio.
Reading of letters from President G.W. Bush, Governor Jeb Bush, and MCPON.
Certificates and flowers presented to wives of retiring chiefs.
Reading of Navy creed and final remarks from the retiring chiefs.
Piped over the side.
