Special Announcements: Welcomed Ray and Rosie Reve since we have not seen them for awhile. Introduced Senior Chief Chada, Chief Chandler, SELRES Chief (select) Nadine Lynch. Early meeting due to Pizza Party for Chiefs Mess of USS Antietam CG 54. They are completing an around the world cruise, having left San Diego on January 19, 2005 to serve in the Arabian Gulf.

Treasurer’s Report: Savings $2,137.83, Checking $6,578.74. Motion to accept the report. Duly seconded and approved.

• Race – Chief Short said there will be night races in November, dates November 17^th – 20^th. Has not resolved issue of money pending.
• Scholarship – Two applications: Vanessa Lippincott and Logan Lippincott.
• Philanthropy – Received card from Armed Forces Service Center thanking us for donation.
• Ship Liaison – Senior Chief Starr received plaque from Spanish ship (Agradecimiento por su hospitalidad. La c< mara de suboficiales de La F-101 ; lvaro de Baz< n, Julio 2005.) and we displayed the plaques and pictures from the ships hosted last month.
• 501(3)(c) – Chief Short is obtaining a copy of the contract we have with the Races and Chief Herrera will send copy of most recent bank statement and balance sheet.
• Initiation –Chief Schuchman introduced the SELRES selectee. Chief Viggiano requested assistance since this individual will not be able to participate as easily with her brothers. Chief (select) Lynch lives in Pompano and has 11 years in the Navy. While we were meeting, slugs from USS Antietam arrived: OSC (select) Derrich Curtis and ETC (select) Richard Memmel.
