Minutes from the Previous Meeting. Motion to accept as mailed. Duly seconded and approved.

Treasurer’s Report: Unavailable. Clarification on coins. New members get one with their membership. All others $5 each.

• Race – Chief Short said there will be night races in November. So far, there are many unknowns.
• Scholarship – Have received one application.
• Philanthropy – Chief Tedlow is still asking everyone to give him dates of birthdays and anniversaries so that appropriate cards can be sent. We awarded a $250 donation to the Miami Airport Armed Forces Service Center. Military appreciation day will be May 22^nd at 1600. All invited. Uniform of the Day – summer whites.
• Ship Liaison – Senior Chief Starr noted Cutter Gannet change of command will be May 27^th. Chief Powell gave special thanks to Chief Short for obtaining the plaques, Tim and Gayle Neary for coordinating, Chief Starr for organizing and ship tours. Also, special thanks to everyone who came to the reception. Chief Starr met all CMCs and gave them one of our coins. July 4^th expect the Truman battle group.
• 501(3)(c) – Everything turned in but have had to re-submit our balance sheets.
• Initiation – New chair Chief Schuchman. We will not be hosting this event but will be supporting it. Will send invitations to chiefs to come to our meetings.

• USS Bainbridge commissioning November 12^th.
• Senior Chief Bradley’s (USCGC Gannet) change of command May 27^th. We have invitations for CPOA members.
• Coast Guard Station Fort Lauderdale change of command – Tony Powell will be taking command of a cutter. We will have at least six invitations for CPOA members. June 9^th at 1800 followed by barbeque. ANT (Aids to Navigation Team) Senior Chief Lawrence, change of command June 10^th. Motion to give plaque from CPOA for these changes. Duly seconded and approved. For those attending, uniform of the day will be CPOA shirt.
• Interactive web site – Chief Lippincott asked to consider this. Also discussed business cards and possibility of having our own place.
• Coast Guard Initiation – Uniform of the day is khakis.
