Meeting called to order 1940.  Pledge of Allegiance and Moment of Silence.

Minutes from the Previous Meeting.  Motion to accept March minutes as posted.    Duly seconded and approved.  Reminder - minutes of all meetings will be posted on our website (http://www.pes1.com/cpoa/). 

 

Treasurer’s Report:  Savings balance $2,86.61.  Checking balance $3608.88.  $1,000 outstanding bill due to CPA.  Motion to accept report.  Duly seconded and approved.

Fleet Week:  Preparations for Chief Petty Officers Reception

Meeting notes from 4/12/07, 1500.

 

Ed Rumin turned over $12,550 to BND Joe Milsap who will give us check to be used for expenses. We will be responsible for wait staff overtime and tips, band, and miscellaneous expenses.  Food is free. Working with Mark Winkler on t-shirt design to give away in gift bags. Has door prizes lined up including 2 cruises.  One on the Patriot for 10 people, one on Gotcha Covered for 6 people.  Working on gift bags for everyone.

Expected ships and guests:  Los Angeles Class Fast Attack Submarine USS Memphis (SSN 691),  USS Forrest Sherman (DDG 98), USS Gunston Hall (LSD 44), US Kearsarge (LHD 3), USS Ponce (LPD 15), USS San Jacinto (CG 56), Coast Guard cutter USCGC Gannett.  Official schedule of activities shows Chief Petty Officers’ Reception at CRYC, 1900-2200.  Carrier Strike Group Two NOSC, SouthCom.
