Meeting called to order 1938. Pledge of Allegiance and Moment of Silence.

Minutes from the Previous Meeting: Motion to accept minutes as posted. Duly
seconded and approved. Reminder - minutes of all meetings will be posted on our
website, http://www.pes1.com/cpoa/.
Treasurer's Report: Savings balance $7,217.33; checking $4,324.00. Motion
to accept treasurer's report as given. Duly seconded and approved. New member:
ETC Jay Kittles, Alexandria, VA (jkettles@gmail.com).
Committee Reports:
· Race Committee - Chief Short reminded everyone the next race is in
November. We were approximately $3,000 short on last race's inventory. Master
Chief LaCoursiere and Chief Short will put in extra security measures to avoid
inventory issues.
· Scholarship - Recipient Vanessa Lippincott.
· Philanthropy - Chief Powell researching local veterans' home.
· Ship Liaison and Navy League -The USS Nassau reception held July 5th.
Pub Crawl reception was held at Sunrise Lane for the USS Harry S. Truman, USS
Oscar Austin, and USS Winston Churchill. It was an overwhelming success. DDG
Nitze is also expected August 22nd. The CPO reception will be held at Café
Bluefish Sunday, August 26th at 1700.
· Initiation - Chief Scott reported list should be out August 10th.
Training begins the 13th. Khaki ball will be Saturday the 29th, a week after the
pinning. Pinning will be at the Reserve Center on the 21st. Reception will
follow pinning. Solicited CPO assistance.
Old Business:
· Recognition for Coral Ridge Yacht Club Donors - August 4th at 1400 at
the 7th Street Wine Company.
· Holiday dinner preparations - We have been given December 7, 2007 at
the CRYC for our dinner. Patricia Bowden has agreed to help with planning.
Master Chief Balcom retires in October.
New Business:
· Historian - Chief Tedlow will be in charge of this committee.
· USS Nitze reception - Motion to fund not to exceed $300. Duly seconded
and unanimously approved.
Good of the Order:
· Suggestion - Determine dollar amount raised per person at the races.
This would be for those who can't work at the races that they might have
guidelines to donate. Chief Lippincott noted that it usually worked out to be
about $100.
Motion to Adjourn 2102. Duly seconded and unanimously approved.
