Treasurer’s Report: Savings balance $2,181.67. Checking balance $4,800.43. $1,000 outstanding bill due to CPA. Motion to accept report. Duly seconded and approved.

• Race – Chief Short reported next race is in March: 23^rd, 24^th, 25^th . Will need to make our own reservations with Homestead lodging: 305 258-2330 or 224-7198.
• Scholarship – NTR
• Philanthropy – Chief Powell had information of possible project: Ships Project. Their primary need is financial support for their postage. http://www.theshipsproject.com.
• Ship Liaison – Senior Chief Starr had letter from USCG Station Fort Lauderdale thanking us for our assistance during the boat parade. Lt. Rooke, CO, said our help enabled them raise over $1,000 for their morale account. Reminder about USS Gridley DDG101 reception and commissioning. Our CPO reception will be February 7^th at the Gator Den and USCG Station Miami. Senior Chief Starr also explained the "Sacred Steel" from the USS Arizona that will be presented to the Gridley by the Sea Cadets. Senior Chief Staff discussed plans for the upcoming Fleet Week, April 30^th – May 6^th, and the fact that we might be able to host the Master Chief Petty Officer of the Coast Guard, Skip Bowen. At this time we expect an LA class sub, 3 Navy ships and a Coast Guard boat. Coast Guardsmen present indicated District 7 will support the MCPON of the USCG. While we need to show respect, it was agreed less formal venue preferred. Planning Committee named: Starr, Neary, Malone, Hein, and Millsaps. CPO reception for USS Nashville will be February 13^th at Wayward Sailor. CPO reception for USS Blackhawk will be in Miami Beach March 15^th.

• 501(3)(c) – All requested documents have been submitted to the IRS for processing. Received FAX from IRS that we need to amend our Articles of Incorporation to reflect this new status. Ed Rumin has been contacted.
