Meeting called to order 1935. Pledge of Allegiance and Moment of Silence.
Remembered SKC Anthony Tremarco, Jr who passed away suddenly on Thursday, May 24, 2007.

Minutes from the Previous Meeting: Motion to accept minutes as posted. Duly seconded and approved. Reminder - minutes of all meetings will be posted on our website, http://www.pes1.com/cpoa/.

Treasurer's Report: Savings balance $7,240.47; checking $11,239.16. Motion to accept treasurer's report as given. Duly seconded and approved.

Committee Reports:
    · Race Committee - Chief Short reminded everyone the next race is in November. We were approximately $3,000 short on last race's inventory. Chief Short also had button down shirts with our logo as samples.

    · Scholarship - Chief Tedlow reported that he has received one application.

    · Philanthropy - Chief Powell reported that $250 check is being sent to the Armed Forces Service Center. He is researching other possible donations. The Allied Veterans Association is opening a home in Pembroke Pines and is looking for assistance.

    · Ship Liaison and Navy League - Senior Chief Starr reported attending a Navy League dinner at the Coral Ridge Yacht Club where members are still talking about our Chief Petty Officers Reception. USS Bainbridge will be here the week of June 11th. The All Hands Reception will be at the Briny Pub on Andrews downtown Fort Lauderdale. Our reception will be Tuesday, June 12th at the Wayward Sailor. The USS Nassau will be here during July 4th week. The Barque Eagle is expected July 27th. DDG Nitze is also expected this summer.

    · Initiation - Chief Scott reported on the committee meeting and deadlines being set. Training and PT will be at the Reserve Center every Friday. Every command will have their own fundraiser. Will have Khaki Ball separate from the pinning.

Old Business:
    · Recognition for Coral Ridge Yacht Club Donors - Will be in July, date TBD. Tentative date July 12th. Motion to budget for this not to exceed $1,500. Duly seconded and unanimously approved. Motion for uniform of the day to be summer whites or smart business. Duly seconded and approved (8 ayes, 5 nays). All CPOA members and their spouses will be encouraged to attend.

    · Holiday dinner preparations - We have been given December 7, 2007 at the CRYC for our dinner. Patricia Bowden has agreed to help with planning.

New Business:
    · Historian
- Chief Tedlow will be in charge of this committee.

    · USS Bainbridge reception - Motion to fund not to exceed $450. Duly seconded and unanimously approved.

    · USS Nassau reception - Motion to fund not to exceed $1,000. Duly seconded and unanimously approved.

Good of the Order:
    · Publicity - Should put ad in the Navy Times to publicize CPOA.

    · Roster - Need to update and encourage member attendance.

    · Coins - Chief Lippincott purchased display for our coins which will be housed at Sea Cadet Building.

Motion to Adjourn 2049. Duly seconded and unanimously approved.
