Meeting called to order 1930. Pledge of Allegiance and Moment of Silence.

and sold dinner to the Genuine Chiefs.
Minutes from the Previous Meeting: Motion to accept minutes as posted. Duly seconded and approved. Reminder – minutes of all meetings will be posted on our website, http://www.pes1.com/cpoa/.
Treasurer’s Report: Chief Lippincott submitted report: savings balance $5,283.18; checking balance $15,132.44. Motion to accept report. Duly seconded and approved.
Committee Reports:
Race Committee – Chief Short announced there could be a possible
race in October. Chief Short also reminded everyone to gear up for November races. | |
Scholarship – The committee only had one application and that was
for Kelly Trippett. Congratulations to SENIOR Chief Trippett's daughter Kelly. | |
Philanthropy – NTR. | |
Ship Liaison and Navy League – Senior Chief Starr informed the
mess of a ship visit during Labor Day weekend from the USS Sterett, DDG 104.
Last month the CPOA hosted a reception for five Chiefs from the US Coast
Guard Thedous. Possible Ship commissioning in November 2009 for DDG 108, USS Myers. | |
Initiation – Senior Chief Roy hopes to have all the slugs at next meeting. |
Old Business:
Date of rank needs to be given to Senior Chief Roy. |
New Business:
NavyBall October 24th at Parrot Gungle. | |
Motion made by Senior Chief Starr to provide up to $500. for USS Sterett
ship reception. Motion accepted, seconded and approved. |
