 Meeting called to order 1930.  Pledge of Allegiance and Moment of Silence.

Minutes from the Previous Meeting:  Motion to accept minutes as posted.  Duly seconded and approved.  Reminder – minutes of all meetings will be posted on our website, http://www.pes1.com/cpoa/. 

Treasurer’s Report:  Chief Lippincott submitted written report:  savings balance $5,279.14; checking balance $17,188.17.  Donation from CTOC Neary of $250 for Fleet Week.  Duly seconded and approved. 

Committee Reports:

bulletRace Committee – Chief Short reminded everyone to gear up for November races.  Chief Powell spoke about rooms.
bulletScholarship – Need names for nominations.  Qualifications are on website.
bulletPhilanthropy – Check sent to AFSC.  Chief Powell will bring information on another organization.  Had information about cell phones for soldiers.  Considering a Fisher house for wounded vets’ families in Miami.  May want to support new VA clinic. 
bulletShip Liaison and Navy League – Senior Chief Starr reported on memorandum of agreement for Broward Navy Days and Navy Leagues in area.  Change of Command for Cutter Gannatt.  June 25th Sector Miami change of command.  June 12th dinner at Tropical Acres to honor NOSC.  Pat Bowden back from Kuwait and Patricia doing well.

New Business:

bulletDVDs from this year’s Fleet Week CPOA reception available.  Will be sending to donors with certificate and thank-you.
bulletCoin display case.  Motion to reimburse Chief Lippincott $300.  Duly seconded and approved.
bulletDate of rank.  Everyone needs to send Senior Chief Roy date of rank.
bulletArmed Forces Service Center.  Motion to double contribution.  Duly seconded and approved.


Good of the Order:

bulletChief Powell will be attending VA meeting July 3rd.
