Meeting called to order 1930.  Pledge of Allegiance and Moment of Silence.

Minutes from the Previous Meeting:  Motion to accept minutes as posted.  Duly seconded and unanimously approved.  Reminder – minutes of all meetings will be posted on our website, http://www.pes1.com/cpoa/.   

Treasurer’s Report:  Chief Lippincott reported $11,139.24 in checking, $5,310.14 in savings.  One outstanding check for $61.25 for our corporation report to the state. Received $13,975.00 in donations toward Fleet Week reception and $40 in dues.  Motion to accept treasurer’s report.  Duly seconded and unanimously approved. 

Committee Reports:

bulletRace Committee – Chief Short reported March race was very busy.  Sold about $15,153 in product.  Motion to reimburse Chief Lippincott for 2 nights at hotel.  Duly seconded and approved.  Everyone needs to plan for races in October and November.
bulletScholarship – Waiting for applications.
bulletPhilanthropy – Thank-you from Meloney Roy for card and flowers.  Senior Chief Roy is going to create a Binnacle list on our web site.
bulletShip Liaison and Navy League – Senior Chief Starr said 3 possible German warships in April.  Fleet week ships include Forrest Sherman, Ashland, HMCS Preserver, Toledo and Tahoma.  San Jacinto won’t be here.  Native American veterans will be honored at VIP reception during Fleet Week.  Official Ship Greeting that Monday.  Chief Neary donated Empires of Trust books to be presented to the visiting ships and commands at the official greeting.  Our reception will be Tuesday, April 28th at 1800 at Coral Ridge Yacht Club.

bulletFleet Week Reception – Master Chief LaCoursiere reported that while MCPON still expected, Force Master Chief will be here again.  The Friday VIP reception at the Port uniform is Summer Whites.  Motion made to have Police Pipe and Drum Corp play at CRYC for colors.  Duly seconded and unanimously approved. Navy Band won’t be able to come due to rule changes that they can’t play for private functions.  Will have DJ and karaoke set up by CRYC for free.  Sea Cadet tour Wednesday evening.  Motion to reimburse Chief Short for the cigars to be handed out during reception.  Duly seconded and unanimously approved.  Motion to reimburse Chief Lippincott $70 for the 2 flags which flew over the Navy Memorial and will be presented during the reception.  Duly seconded and unanimously approved. 

Old Business:

·        National WWII Museum Honor Roll.  Presented Chief Lesser honoree certificate. 

New Business:

bulletNOSC meeting.  Motion made to have a meeting every quarter at the NOSC on a Saturday night at 1700 in addition to the regular meeting held Thursdays.  Duly seconded and approved.  May 2nd meeting at NOSC.

Good of the Order

bullet2009 Induction Guide.  Requests participation from all organizations.
bulletKnights of Pythagorus mentoring society at DelRey.  Suggestion to perhaps have barbeque.

 Motion to Adjourn 2031.  Duly seconded and unanimously approved.
