Meeting called to order 1930. Pledge of Allegiance and Moment of Silence.

Minutes from the Previous Meeting: Motion to accept minutes as posted. Duly seconded and approved. Reminder – minutes of all meetings will be posted on our website, http://www.pes1.com/cpoa/.
Treasurer’s Report: Chief Lippincott reported $10,431.86 in checking, $5,307.89 in savings. Received $650 donation toward Fleet Week reception and $20 in dues. Motion to accept treasurer’s report. Duly seconded and approved.
Committee Reports:
Race Committee – Chief Short said races will be in October and November. | |
Scholarship – Waiting for applications. | |
Philanthropy – Meloney Roy in hospital. | |
Ship Liaison and Navy League – Senior Chief Starr said 3 possible German warships in April. Fleet week ships include Forrest Sherman, Ashland, HMCS Preserver, San Jacinto, Toledo and Tahoma. Native American veterans will be honored at VIP reception during Fleet Week. Official Ship Greeting that Monday. Our reception will be Tuesday, April 28th at 1800 at Coral Ridge Yacht Club. At beginning of meeting, Pat Hughes asked for support in purchasing bags that Bell South Pioneers will use to fill with books and DVDs to present to visiting ships. Chief Viggiano will investigate prices of bags with screen print of our logo. We also presented Pat with a certificate recognizing her contributions to the association. | |

Fleet Week Reception – committee formed for 2009: Master Chief LaCoursiere, reported that MCPON is currently scheduled to come. For visits to ships, need name, address, phone and last 4 digits of SSN. CRYC tour will be 1900 Thursday. BND has asked for our support for NROTC bus charges. Motion made to donate $180 to BND to support this endeavor. Duly seconded and unanimously approved. Sea Cadet tour Wednesday evening. |
Old Business:
Chief Chandler retiring Saturday. |
New Business:
National WWII Museum Honor Roll. Motion to sponsor Chief Lesser as honoree $100. Duly seconded and unanimously approved. |
Good of the Order
Waterway cleanup this weekend. |
Motion to Adjourn 2031. Duly seconded and unanimously approved. Next meeting, April 2nd, is at Sea Cadet Building.
