Meeting called to order 1940.  Pledge of Allegiance and Moment of Silence.  Welcome to HMC Rhoe and PSC Ray Figueroa.  Condolences to QMC Stan Lesser for the passing of his wife, Joyce.

Special Notes:  2009 Memberships dues should be paid to Jerry Lippincott as soon as possible.

Minutes from the Previous Meeting.  Motion to accept April minutes as posted.    Duly seconded and approved.  Reminder - minutes of all meetings will be posted on our website (http://www.pes1.com/cpoa/). 

Treasurer’s Report:  Savings balance $5,312.326.  Checking balance $23,795.22.  Outstanding check of $800.  Deposits received $160 and $40.  Outstanding bills for $330 for plaques and $252 for wheelchair battery.  Have not received bills for reception.  Motion to accept report.  Duly seconded and approved.

Committees:

• Race –  Chief Short reported next races October 7^th-11^th and November 18^th – 22^nd .
• Scholarship –  Have received 3 applications.
• Philanthropy –  N/A
• Ship Liaison – Senior Chief Starr reported Fleet Week reception went very well. Need to send thank-you notes to several individuals.  Flags which were flown over Navy Memorial were presented to Ed Rumin and Tom Davis for their contributions to Fleet Week.  Master Chief LaCoursiere reported on tiger cruise on USS Ashland.

• Initiation – NTR

Old Business

• Senior Chief Roy has created a binnacle list on website.

New Business

• Motion to take food basket to Lesser home for Shiva.  Duly seconded and approved.
• Motion to purchase stamp to identify used books we donate to the fleet.  Duly seconded and approved.

Good of the Order

• Gunny Greene being mobilized
• German Ships came to port but we had no reception
• Knights of Pythagorus mentoring society having a Fathers Day banquet.
