Meeting called to order 1930.  Pledge of Allegiance and Moment of Silence.

Minutes from the Previous Meeting:  Motion to accept minutes as posted.  Duly seconded and unanimously approved.   

Treasurer’s Report:  Chief Lippincott unavailable for report.  Moving to Nebraska.  Motion for Senior Chief Roy to take over as Treasurer  Duly seconded and unanimously approved. 

Committee Reports:

• Race Committee – Chief  Powell reported IZOD races October 1^st and 2^nd.  November NASCAR races 19^th – 21^st.  Need people to take the training to serve alcohol.  Need as many volunteers as possible.
• Scholarship – Chief Tedlow reported receiving one application.  Deadline was August 4^th.  Winner is Heather Edelman.
• Philanthropy – Chief  Powell sent donations to USS Bataan and USS Comfort.  Also sent donation to Broward Navy Days in memory of Joe Millsaps.
• Ship Liaison and Navy League – Senior Chief Starr reported great reception for USS Barry and HMC Liverpool at Wayward Sailor.  The USS Jason Dunham DDG 109 will be commissioned here November 13^th.  They arrive November 5^th and hope to have CPO reception Saturday, November 6^th.  Sponsorship opportunities.  Chief Neary will see what venues he can find.
• Initiation –Chief Johnny Hill not available

·       Motion to donate $1,000 toward commissioning of USS Jason Dunham.  Suggest raffle to determine who attends the receptions.  Duly seconded and unanimously approved.
