Meeting called to order 1922.  Pledge of Allegiance and Moment of Silence.

Minutes from the Previous Meeting:  Motion to accept minutes as posted.  Duly seconded and unanimously approved.  Reminder – minutes of all meetings will be posted on our website, http://www.pes1.com/cpoa/. 

Treasurer’s Report:  Chief Lippincott reported $714 outstanding checks.  Checking $3,590.97, savings $1,001.91, money market 10,013.28, November races $6,797.55.  Motion to accept treasurer’s report.  Duly seconded and unanimously approved.

Committee Reports:

• Race Committee – Chief Short reported November race did very well.  Had 78 man days.  Really need more people on Saturday and Sunday.  Also need alcohol servers to take class.  $1,600 shortage will be reimbursed.  February art festival in Coconut Grove.
• Scholarship – NTR.
• Philanthropy – Thank-you from VSN for donation in memory of Chief Neary’s father.
• Ship Liaison and Navy League – Senior Chief Starr reported on Fleet Week planning.  Our reception will be Tuesday, April 27^th at 1800 at Coral Ridge Yacht Club. 
• Initiation – NTR
• Fleet Week Reception – NTR.  Will have first meeting at CRYC February 3^rd at 1330.

Old Business:

·        None.

New Business:

• Suggestion to require dues be paid in order to vote.
• Motion to compensate anyone taking the alcohol course.  Duly seconded and passed.
• Suggestion to write letter of appreciation to Chief Drago’s wife for her work on the Holiday Party. 
• During Holiday Party, Chief Drago was nominated to serve as Vice-President.  Motion to confirm Chief Drago as Vice-President.  Duly seconded and unanimously approved.

Good of the Order

• Master Chief Pedersen will be retiring June 14^th.
• Marine Clean up March 6^th.
• Gunny Greene in Iraq.  Motion to send him cigars.  Duly seconded and passed.
• Drill week.  Trying to have new chiefs meeting at NOSC.

Motion to Adjourn 2018.  Duly seconded and unanimously approved.
