Meeting called to order 1930.  Pledge of Allegiance and Moment of Silence.

Minutes from the Previous Meeting:  Motion to accept minutes as posted.  Duly seconded and unanimously approved.  All items posted on website:  www.cpoamiami.com.   

Treasurer’s Report:  Senior Chief Roy reported money market $10,119.73, savings: $3,130.64, checking: $13,727.20, outstanding checks: $1,000.00 to AFSC.  Total assets at $26,977.57.  Motion to accept the treasurer’s report.  Duly seconded and unanimously approved.   

Committee Reports:

• Race Committee – Chief Powell reported Nascar races will begin November 17^th.
• Scholarship – N/A
• Philanthropy – No current projects.
• Ship Liaison and Navy League – USS Cole will be here middle of August.  Fleet Week reception will be on Thursday, April 26^th because the ships come in on Wednesday and leave on Monday.  USS Leyte Gulf will be coming back in September.
• Initiation – NRD printed calendar.  Need help on fund raising.  Will send details on shirts.

Old Business:

• Report on CPOA 25^th anniversary gala in 2012.  Committee includes OSCS Roy, BTCM LaCoursiere, Robin, and Meloney.
• Meeting at NOSC.  October meeting at NOSC canceled due to EMCS Hill's departure.  October 6th meeting will happen be held at the SEA Cadet Building instead.

New Business: 

·       USS Cole reception at Wayward Sailor.  Motion to approve expenditure of no more than $400 on August 18^th at 1900.  Duly seconded and unanimously approved.

·       Motion to hold reception for USS Leyte Gulf in September with expenditure of no more than $400, date, place, and time to be determined.  Duly seconded and unanimously approved.

Motion to Adjourn 2030.  Duly seconded and unanimously approved.
