Meeting called to order 1930.  Pledge of Allegiance and Moment of Silence.

Minutes from the Previous Meeting:  Motion to accept minutes as posted.  Duly seconded and unanimously approved.  All items posted on website:  www.cpoamiami.com. 
 

Treasurer’s Report:  Senior Chief Roy reported money market $10,136.1965, savings: $3,133.78, checking: $8,016.59.  Motion to accept the treasurer’s report.  Duly seconded and unanimously approved. 
 

Committee Reports:

• Race Committee – Chief Powell reported great support from the mess.  Did about $45,000 in business.
• Scholarship – Letter of thanks received from Amanda Roy.
• Philanthropy – NTR
• Ship Liaison and Navy League – Senior Chief Starr reported on reception of USS Leyte Gulf at Wayward Sailor.  Fleet Week will be April 25^th.  USS Wasp will be big deck.  Other ships include USS Gettysburg, USS Dewert, and USS Oscar Austin.
   

Old Business:

• Report on Holiday Party.  December 16^th (Friday), $40 per person if not CPOA member.  Capriccio’s Ristorante at 2424 N University Drive, Pembroke Pines, FL 33024.  Cocktails at 1830, dinner 1900.  Summer whites.
• Election of officers for 2012.  Nominees were President – Chief Drago, Vice-President – Chief Schuchman, Treasurer – Senior Chief Roy, Secretary – Chief Zorza, Chief Leonard.  After tabulating the results, congratulations to our new officers for 2011:  Chief Drago, Chief Schuchman, Senior Chief Roy, and Chief Leonard.
• Cooking trailer acquisition.  In process.

New Business: 

·       Want to recognize Homestead Inn and First Class Mess for their efforts during NASCAR races.

·       Pearl Harbor Day ceremony at USCG John Lloyd Park at 11 a.m.

Good of the Order:

·       Shift Colors now online.
