Meeting called to order 1930.  Pledge of Allegiance and Moment of Silence.

Minutes from the Previous Meeting:  Motion to accept minutes as posted.  Duly seconded and unanimously approved.  All items posted on website:  www.cpoamiami.com. 

 Treasurer’s Report:  Senior Chief Roy reported money market $10,106.98, savings: $3,128.03, checking: $21,023.86, outstanding checks: $500.00. Motion to accept the treasurer’s report.  Duly seconded and unanimously approved. 

 Committee Reports:

• Race Committee – Chief Short reported that we just received a check for the March race $1,609.06.  May have 2 events at Homestead in November:  the air show and a race.  Will discuss potential of partnering with Knights of Pathagorus.
• Scholarship – New chair is Chief Viggiano.
• Philanthropy – Chief Powell reported $500 donated to Armed Forces Service Center.
• Ship Liaison and Navy League – Senior Chief Starr noted another successful Fleet Week.  Thanks to Chief Neary for donating the gift books for the official Ships Greeting.  Our reception had approximately 300 in attendance.  The yacht trips on Wednesday and Thursday went very well.  On Friday, there was a VIP reception on board the USS Iwo Jima.
• Initiation – NTR

 
Old Business:

• Reserve Center Meeting.  CO thinks this is a good idea.  Next meeting will be June 4^th at 1700 at the NOSC.  Suggestion to have one per quarter.
• Report on CPOA 25^th anniversary gala in 2012.  Committee includes Gloria, Robin, and Meloney.

 
New Business: 

• Motion to have next meeting at NOSC June 4^th at 1700.  There will be no meeting at the VFW in June.  Duly seconded and approved.
• Motion to present honorary chief plaques at next holiday party.  Includes Pat Hughes, Gloria Drago, and Gayle Malone.  Duly seconded and approved.

Motion to Adjourn 2048.  Duly seconded and unanimously approved.
