Meeting called to order 1930.  Pledge of Allegiance and Moment of Silence.

Minutes from the Previous Meeting:  Motion to accept minutes as posted.  Duly seconded and unanimously approved.  All items posted on website:  www.cpoamiami.com. 

Treasurer’s Report:  Senior Chief Roy reported money market $10,128.19, savings: $3,132.21, checking: $11,604.73.  Total assets at $25,865.13.  Motion to accept the treasurer’s report.  Duly seconded and unanimously approved. 

Committee Reports:

• Race Committee – Chief Short reported NASCAR races will begin November 17^th.  This is the weekend before Thanksgiving.  Race days 18^th, 19^th, and 20^th.  Must be TIPS qualified.  No tank tops. See website for race credential information.  Need at least 25 on Sunday.  Berthing may be an issue.
• Scholarship – N/A
• Philanthropy – Chief Powell reported that the AFSC received their regular check.
• Ship Liaison and Navy League – Senior Chief Starr attended USCG initiation at Air Station.  Leyte Gulf coming for Veterans Day.  Reception will be Sunday, November 13^th at Wayward Sailor, 1900.  Pearl Harbor Day remembrance at USCG Fort Lauderdale 1100.  CPOA reception planning for Fleet Week moving forward.  Hope to have Skip Bowman as speaker.
• Initiation – N/A

Old Business:

• Report on Holiday Party. Will December 16^th (Friday), $40 per person if not CPOA member.  Capriccio’s Ristorante at 2424 N University Drive, Pembroke Pines, FL 33024.  Cocktails at 1830, dinner 1900.  Summer whites.
• Nomination of officers for 2012.  President – Chief Drago, Vice-President – Chief Hannahan, Treasurer – Senior Chief Roy, Secretary – Chief Zorza, Chief Leonard.

New Business: 

·       Thanksgiving gift cards.  Motion to purchase eight $75 cards for USCG Station Fort Lauderdale, Aids to Navigation Team, Cutter Gannett, Air Station Opalocka, NOSC Active Duty, Marine, and SelRes, and SouthCom.  Duly seconded and unanimously approved. 

·       Motion to allow Treasurer to move funds to and from money market as required to cover operational commitments.  Duly seconded and unanimously approved. 

·       Cook trailer.  Because races are harder to man, motion to purchase fully equipped cook trailer with a/c $10,000.  Considerable discussion.  Duly seconded and approved.

·       Shift Colors now online.
