Meeting called to order 1930.  Pledge of Allegiance and Moment of Silence.

Minutes from the Previous Meeting:  Motion to accept minutes as posted.  Duly seconded and unanimously approved.  All items posted on website:  www.cpoamiami.com.   

Treasurer’s Report:  Senior Chief Roy reported money market $10,128.19, savings: $3,132.21, checking: $11,604.73.  Total assets at $25,865.13.  Motion to accept the treasurer’s report.  Duly seconded and unanimously approved.   

Committee Reports:

• Race Committee – Chief Powell reported NASCAR races will begin November 17^th.  This is the weekend before Thanksgiving.  Race days 18^th, 19^th, and 20^th.  Must be TIPS qualified.  See website for race credential information.  Need at least 25 on Sunday.  Berthing may be an issue.
• Scholarship – Amanda Roy selected.
• Philanthropy – Chief Powell reported that the AFSC received their regular check.
• Ship Liaison and Navy League – Senior Chief Starr reported Fleet Week will be shorter next year:  Wednesday through Sunday.  There will be six ships.  The CPOA reception will be Thursday.  USS Cole reception was at the Wayward Sailor 3 weeks ago.  Leyte Gulf will be coming November 10^th.  Motion to host a reception at Wayward Sailor not to exceed $500 on November 13^th.  Duly seconded and unanimously approved.
• Initiation – N/A

Old Business:

• Report on Holiday Party. Will be December 8^th (Thursday) or December 16^th (Friday), $40 per person.
• USS Spruance commissioned October 1^st at Key West.

New Business: 

·       Pearl Harbor remembrance December 4^th at USCG Station Fort Lauderdale, 1000.

·       Rings from Ahern & Brucker limited Chief Collection.  Motion by Chief Viggiano to use this as fundraiser.  Duly seconded and unanimously approved.

·       Holiday Dinner funding.  Motion to have dinner funded for members by Senior Chief Roy.  Duly seconded and unanimously approved.

·       Nomination of officers for 2012.  President – Chief Drago, Vice-President – Chief Hannahan, Treasurer – Senior Chief Roy, Secretary – Chief Zorza. 

Good of the Order:

·       Received a thank-you card and a plaque from the 2012 selectees. 

Motion to Adjourn 2051.  Duly seconded and unanimously approved.
