Minutes from the Previous Meeting:  Motion to accept minutes as posted.  Duly seconded and unanimously approved.  All items posted on website:  www.cpoamiami.com. 

Treasurer’s Report:  Senior Chief Roy reported money market $10,124.03, savings: $3,131.44, checking: $12,259.04, outstanding checks: $100.00.  Total assets at $25,614.51.  Motion to accept the treasurer’s report.  Duly seconded and unanimously approved. 

Committee Reports:

• Race Committee – Chief Powell reported NASCAR races will begin November 17^th.  This is the weekend before Thanksgiving.
• Scholarship – Have received some applications.
• Philanthropy – Chief Powell reported that the AFSC received their regular check.
• Ship Liaison and Navy League – Senior Chief Starr reported USS Cole came to visit.  Fleet Week will begin the middle of the week of April 25^th.  The USS Wasp will be the big deck.  Broward Navy Days is hosting a volunteer recognition evening on September 14^th at Gulfstream Park Village.  It will be a pub crawl beginning at 1800 at the Playwrights Irish Pub.  A 17-year old Sea Cadet was killed in an accident in Coral Springs.
• Initiation – Chief Marcello introduced a very enthusiastic group.  Motion to donate $500 to their fund.  Duly seconded and unanimously approved.

Old Business:

• Report on CPOA 25^th anniversary gala in 2012.  Committee includes BTCM Paul LaCoursiere and OSCS Ron Roy.  Scheduled for Friday, December 2^nd or 9^th.  Will be local.
• Meeting at the NOSC is currently postponed due to new CMC change.

New Business: 

·       Pearl Harbor remembrance December 4^th at USCG Station Fort Lauderdale, 1000.

·       Possible weekend cruise in November (Details to follow from NRD or selectees).
