Meeting called to order by Chief Karen Leonard: 1930.

Minutes from the Previous Meeting. Motion to accept minutes as posted. Duly seconded and approved.

Treasurer’s Report: Senior Chief Roy reported $815.19 in outstanding checks. Current balances: Checking $9,979.15, Savings $3147.68, Money Market $10,218.04. Motion to accept Treasurer’s report. Duly seconded and approved. 29 people signed up for Improv event.

Committees:

· Race – (Mike Short/Norm Powell) – Chief Powell reported only upcoming race in November 15^th – 18^th. Looking for help with berthing.

Scholarship – (Rick Tedlow) Chief Tedlow reported Amanda Roy won this year.

Philanthropy – (Norm Powell)

Ship Liaison – (Al Starr)

· Senior Chief Starr reported Broward Navy Days trying to establish an international fleet week for next year. August 4^th Coast Guard birthday at Opalocka. $10 to go to barbeque.

· Induction – (AJ Drago/Chris Marcello)

· Southcom had one selectee. NRD had 7; may have another 5. NRD hosting. PHASER (prospective humble anchorless senior enlisted response). Night will be at Punta Gorda Boy Scout Camp, September 11^th, 12^th, 13^th. Pinning that morning. August 22^nd Clewiston golf outing. PT will move to different sites. Schedule will be posted. Master Chief Robertson spoke about need for consideration for SELRES. Possible meet and greet at Sea Cadet building September 5^th. This might be in lieu of CPOA meeting. INDOC August 26^th, 27^th, 28^th at NOSC West Palm Beach. Anchor auction not yet scheduled. Uniform for chiefs will be khaki. · Events for year:

o July fishing last month. Chief Tedlow reported great success.

o August 8^th David Alan Grier at Seminole HardRock. @2000 Improv at the Seminole Hard Rock Café. CPOA will buy the drinks for paid members. Members only buy ticket(s). Guest must pay for ticket and drinks. Wear CPOA shirt.

o Key West trip pending.

o NASCAR November 15^th – 17^th.

o December Holiday Cruise. December 6^th – 8^th.

o Holiday Dinner December 12^th at Tropical Acres.
