Minutes from the Previous Meeting.  Motion to accept minutes as posted.  Duly seconded and approved. 

Treasurer’s Report:   Senior Chief Roy reported 2 outstanding checks. Current balances:  Checking $16455.85, Savings $3144.37, Money Market $10198.79.  Total assets $29799.01. Received $7,200 from Coral Ridge Yacht Club donations for Fleet Week.  Conducted annual audit with no discrepancies found. Motion to accept Treasurer’s report. Duly seconded and approved. 

Committees:

·       Chief Powell researching various projects

  1. Ship Liaison –  (Al Starr)

·       Mark your calendars for FLEET WEEK 2013.  29 APR 2013- 06 MAY 2013.  CPO Reception on 30APR2012.  Senior Chief Starr listed expected ships:  USS Stout, USS Bainbridge, SSN, USCGC Bernard Webber. Master Chief LaCoursiere discussed meeting at Coral Ridge Yacht Club.  Yacht rides will be May 2nd with 25 on Patriot, 40 on Northern V, and 50 on Alexis.  Next meeting March 27th at CRYC.  Working on DJ.  Master Chief Robertson working on Good Year Blimp.  Discussed silent auction possibilities and raffle for various prizes.  Pat Hughes has arranged for Girl Scout cookies and chocolates. 

4.      Induction –  (AJ Drago/Chris Marcello)

·       NTR but now CPO 365.

5.      Awards –  (Dave Cohen/Mike Short)

·       Plaques ordered for First Class and Homestead.  Letters and certificates of appreciation sent to volunteers.

Old Business:

·       Bylaws.  Review dissolution clause before next meeting.

New Business:

·       Marlins Monday games free with military ID.

·       Events for membership (ideas):

o      Summer bowling – Chief Tedlow will research.

o      Everglades Tour

o      July fishing trip – Chief Tedlow and Chief Powell will research.

o      October Key West Trip – Senior Chief Herrera will research.

o      December dining out or holiday party.

o      January cruise.

·       Miami Sea Cadets Zeus Division.  Need sporting equipment.  Motion to fund $200 for new equipment.  Duly seconded and approved.

·       Saint Patrick Day Parade.  Saturday at 1100 on Las Olas. 

·       City of North Lauderdale will be paying tribute to a Marine and Navy Chief killed in action May 31st.  Chuck Black will send more information.  Motion to support this event.  Duly seconded and approved.

Good of the Order:

1.     RETIREMENT:  Lou Kitchin retires June 7, 2013 after 33 years of service and will be moving to FT Myers.  Retirement will be at Station Fort Lauderdale.  Mark Mello retiring May 17th.

Motion to adjourn:  2043.  Duly seconded and passed.
