Meeting called to order by Karen Leonard: 1945 

Pledge of Allegiance and Moment of Silence.

Minutes from the Previous Meeting.  Motion to accept minutes as posted.  Duly seconded and approved. 

Treasurer’s Report:  

Ø     Checking balance:  $ 8,211.42

Ø     Savings:                  $ 3,148.35

Ø     Money Market:       $ 10,221.95

Ø     Total:                      $ 21,581.72

 

Ø     Motion to accept Treasurer’s report.  Duly seconded and approved.

Committees:

  1. Race – (Mike Short/Norm Powell)

·      NASCAR will be 14-18 NOV

·      TIP training (If your TIPS training has expired or you never did TIPS)

·      Norm sent input via email that rooms must be booked by 12 OCT and that he will go down in NOV to submit the names.   

·      Sign up to volunteer on website- Norm/Mike/Ron will see.

·      NEW RULES!!!! Must now wear uniform clothing consisting of: black PANTS (no more shorts…I know…it’s going to make it hot), closed toe shoes, and must purchase a shirt from NASCAR for $4.50 (CPOA pays for the shirts).

Old Business:

·       Improve @ Hard Rock Café was a huge success- 39 people present

·       Holiday Party- Thursday 12 DEC @ 1800-2300 @ Tropical Acres in Ft Lauderdale off Griffin Road. Need to decide on menu choices from below.

 Suggest we take the following options:

FIRST COURSE: Tossed green salad

ENTRÉE: Prime Rib and Stuffed Chicken Breast

VEGETABLE: Green Bean Amandine

POTATO: Baked Potato (sour cream/butter)

DESSERT: Black Forest Cake

·       Holiday Cruise- 6-8 DEC. Make your reservations via David Hegstrom (954) 414-1320 x252 ask for CPOA. To date only 7 people have signed up.

Now as a reminder the Port Fees are $60.90 per person.

All pricing are per person based on double occupancy and subject to availability and subject to change without notice.

1.     Gratuity ($12 per day) and alcohol cost is separate.

2.     Flat rate parking for $15.00 a day.

3.     Departs from the Port of Palm Beach at 5:30pm, must be onboard by 1600. Lunch being served onboard from 1200-1600.

4.     Ship departs Bahamas at 1700
