Meeting called to order by Chief Karen Leonard: 1930.

Minutes from the Previous Meeting. Motion to accept minutes as posted. Duly seconded and approved.
Treasurer’s Report: Senior Chief Roy emailed checking balance $15,166.71; savings $3,152.93; money market $10,248.70 with total $28,568.34. Have received $18,400 in donations from CRYC. Outstanding checks #3,422. Dues Reminder. Motion to accept report and duly seconded and passed.
Committees:
· Race – Chief Short reminded everyone race is in November week before Thanksgiving.
· Ship Liaison & Fleet Week – Senior Chief Starr reported our reception April 29th. This is the only khaki event. Will have bag pipes. Listed all of the local commands he has contacted. Wednesday is yacht club rides. Guest speaker will be CMC of USS New York. Thursday night is SOY event at Blue Martini. Friday night is VIO reception.
· Induction – Chief McTee reported on CPO365. Had good attendance at Bokampers. Want to have everything ready for August. Will have committees for Fundraising, Final Test, PT, Overall training, Pinning ceremony, and Community relations. May 1st deadline for committees. May 14th next meeting. Do have tentative calendar. Chief Walt Eiseman creating private Facebook. Will try to have auction 1st week after results. 2 potential game plans depending on where selectees are from. May do different weekly areas. Pinning will be Tuesday, September 16th. Location TBD. Final night at Punta Gorda. Next week SOFLO CPOA Shoot Out at POPS Gun Range in Weston.
· Awards – Chief Cohen had pictures of plaques for reception.
Old Business:
· Improv not successful
· Key West April 11th-13th.
· Vixcaya May 31st.
· Other events:
§ June 22nd Coral Castle Homestead. CPOA will pay half of $12.00.
§ July 12th fishing
§ August 1st Chief Leonard retires. Ceremony at Southcom at 0900. Dress blues with medals for participants only. All others CPOA shirts or khaki.
§ August 16th Flamingo Gardens. Cost is $15.00 or if group 15+, we can get group tour with narrated tram ride ($4 savings).
§ September 20th SEAL UDT Fort Pierce. Cost is $8.00 with CPOA paying half.
§ October 18th Xtreme Indoor Karting.
§ December 4th Holiday Party
§ December 12-14 Cruise
New Business:
· Jet Boat to Nassau. Chief Short reported $100 with 20% military discount. $119 to stay at hotel. Leaves from Port of Miami. Suggestion to do October trip. Have casinos, restaurants, berthing. Will discuss next month.
· Bowling suggested. Motion to have another Sunday game May 18th at 1300. Will invite1st class mess. Duly seconded and approved.
· Holiday Party. Looking for volunteer to research venues for Holiday dinner.
· Uniform for CPOA members at Fleet Week Reception. Previously we wore blue shirts to be identified as host of the event. Concern about possible low turnout. Motion to make it a matter of choice whether members wear khakis. Duly seconded and approved.
Good of the Order: Marlins June 2nd Navy game.
