Meeting called to order by Chief Karen Leonard: 1930.

Minutes from the Previous Meeting. Motion to accept minutes as posted. Duly seconded and approved.
Treasurer’s Report: Senior Chief Roy reported checking balance $24,084.08; savings $3,153.58; money market $10,252.49 with total $37,490.15. Outstanding checks $1,588.92. Motion to accept report and duly seconded and passed. Noted our administrative costs are at 0.9%.
Committees:
· Race – Chief Short reminded everyone race is in November week before Thanksgiving. Remember to register on the web site. Free room if work more than one day.
· Ship Liaison & Fleet Week – Master Chief LaCoursiere thanked everyone for their support. Fleet Week went very well. Had over 150 chiefs in attendance and 46 chiefs for the yacht rides.
· Induction – Chief McTee reported will have activities put on web site with schedule. Indoc at WPB. Khaki Ball at Sun Life Stadium. Punta Gorda September 10th – 16th. Part will be determined by number of chiefs from Tampa. Selectees will be working in Miami that weekend at games. Discussion about reservists being part of training. They can be on non-paid orders after hours to cover liability. Anchor auction at Fort Lauderdale August 7th. Tuesdays and Thursdays 1800-2200, lectures place TBD.
· Awards – Thanks to Chief Cohen for bringing plaques.
Old Business:
· Key West April 11th-13th very successful.
· Vizcaya May 31st. Suggestion to have activities as a regular committee. Need chair/coordinator.
· Other events:
§ June 22nd Coral Castle Homestead. CPOA will pay half of $12.00.
§ July 12th fishing
§ August 1st Chief Leonard retires. Ceremony at Southcom at 0900. Dress blues with medals for participants only. All others CPOA shirts or khaki.
§ August 16th Flamingo Gardens. Cost is $15.00 or if group 15+, we can get group tour with narrated tram ride ($4 savings).
§ September 20th SEAL UDT Fort Pierce. Cost is $8.00 with CPOA paying half.
§ October 18th Xtreme Indoor Karting.
§ December 4th Holiday Party
§ December 12-14 Cruise – Suggestion to have Holiday cruise in January. Chief Leonard will check rates and dates.
New Business:
· Bowling Sunday game May 18th at 1300.
· Holiday Party. Looking for volunteer to research venues for Holiday dinner.
Good of the Order: Marlins June 2nd Navy game.
