Meeting called to order by Chief Karen Leonard: 1930

Minutes from the Previous Meeting.  Motion to accept minutes as posted.  Duly seconded and approved. 

Treasurer’s Report:   Senior Chief Roy reported checking balance $18,835.96; savings $3,167.56; money market $10,275.77 with total $32,269.29.  Three outstanding checks totaling $1153.24.  Motion to accept report; duly seconded and passed. 

Committees:

·       Race – Chief Short reminded everyone race is November 13th – 17th.  Current numbers 4 for Thursday, 14 for Friday, 29 for Saturday, 25 for Sunday.  Need more people on Sunday.  Stressed dress code.  Will find out parking information and email Saturday.

 

 

 

·       Ship Liaison – Senior Chief Starr reported good turnout for 5K run to support Sea Cadets and Wounded Warrior.  Confirmed CPO reception May 5th.  Veterans Day event on Sunday at Bethel Cemetery at 1000.  Will be at Sunrise on November 11th.  Uniform summer whites.  Boat build for disabled vets and will participate in dedication.  Pearl Harbor remembrance at 1400 Sunday, December 7th.

·       Fleet Week.  Master Chief LaCoursiere reported first organizational meeting at Coral Ridge Yacht Club.  Goal to raise $30,000 for event.  Yacht rides at 1700 Wednesday, May 6th.  Senior Chief Starr will work with Coast Guard for cutter and helicopter.  Will have next meeting first week in January.

 

·       Induction – Chief McTee presented thank-you plaques to Senior Chief Starr and Master Chief Schmidt from 2014 Chiefs.

 

·       Awards – NTR

 

Old Business:

·       Other events:

§       Bowling September 28th a success.

§       November 8th SEAL UDT Fort Pierce cancelled.

§       December 5th Holiday Party.  Tropical Acres selected. Black Forest cake for dessert.  $30 for guests. White Elephant gift exchange under $20.  There will be several door prizes.

§       Cruise –Valentine’s Day

§       Key West trip in April 2015.  Tentative date 17th – 19th.
