Meeting called to order by Chief Karen Leonard: 1930.

Pledge of Allegiance and Moment of Silence.

Minutes from the Previous Meeting. Motion to accept minutes as posted. Duly seconded and approved.

Treasurer’s Report: Senior Chief Roy reported checking balance $18,835.96; savings $3,167.56; money market $10,275.77 with total $32,269.29. Three outstanding checks totaling $1153.24. Motion to accept report; duly seconded and passed.

Committees:

· Race – Chief Short reminded everyone race is November 13^th – 17^th. Current numbers 4 for Thursday, 14 for Friday, 29 for Saturday, 25 for Sunday. Need more people on Sunday. Stressed dress code. Will find out parking information and email Saturday.

Scholarship – NTR

Philanthropy – NTR

Sea Service Veterans Assistance. Chief Zorza reported reserve sailor in need. Suggestion to pay for tags and insurance.

· Ship Liaison – Senior Chief Starr reported good turnout for 5K run to support Sea Cadets and Wounded Warrior. Confirmed CPO reception May 5^th. Veterans Day event on Sunday at Bethel Cemetery at 1000. Will be at Sunrise on November 11^th. Uniform summer whites. Boat build for disabled vets and will participate in dedication. Pearl Harbor remembrance at 1400 Sunday, December 7^th.

· Fleet Week. Master Chief LaCoursiere reported first organizational meeting at Coral Ridge Yacht Club. Goal to raise $30,000 for event. Yacht rides at 1700 Wednesday, May 6^th. Senior Chief Starr will work with Coast Guard for cutter and helicopter. Will have next meeting first week in January.

· Induction – Chief McTee presented thank-you plaques to Senior Chief Starr and Master Chief Schmidt from 2014 Chiefs.

· Awards – NTR

· Other events:

§ Bowling September 28^th a success.

§ November 8^th SEAL UDT Fort Pierce cancelled.

§ December 5^th Holiday Party. Tropical Acres selected. Black Forest cake for dessert. $30 for guests. White Elephant gift exchange under $20. There will be several door prizes.

§ Cruise –Valentine’s Day

§ Key West trip in April 2015. Tentative date 17^th – 19^th.

New Business:

Motion to set aside $1,000 for Chief Zorza to support sailor in distress. Duly seconded and passed.
Motion to invite 8 additional people to Holiday party to thank them for their support of our reception. Duly seconded and passed.
Chief Rodriguez’s daughter had surgery. Chief Powell will send teddy bear.
Motion to approve BM1 Robert Leonard as Associate Member. Duly seconded and passed.
Motion to send reminder card or email to member to pay their dues. Duly seconded and passed.
First round of Nominations for 2015 Officers:
- President – Senior Chief Herrera, Chief McTee, Chief Mohsin, Chief Tedlow.
- Vice-President – Chief Cruz Valentin, Chief Powell, Chief McTee, Chief Hall, Chief Pam Washington.
- Treasurer – Senior Chief Roy. Congratulations!
- Secretary – Chief Pam Washington, Gayle Malone.

Good of the Order:

· Shirts from 2014 Chiefs arrived.
