Meeting called to order by Master Chief Chuck Robertson: 1934.  Dinner by Selectees 1800 followed by meeting.

Pledge of Allegiance and Moment of Silence.  

Introductions and Announcments:  Master Chief Fagenbaum says NBA partnering with military organizations and USCG will be contacting everyone.  BMCS Mike Collins of USCG mess.  ADC Albert Durso who will be going to Pearl Harbor this year for December 7th.

Minutes from the Previous Meeting.  Motion to accept minutes as posted.  Duly seconded and approved. 

Treasurer’s Report:   Senior Chief Roy reported checking balance $21,431.14; savings $3,156.24; money market $10,268.04 with total $34,855.42.  Two outstanding checks totaling $1250.00.  Motion to accept report duly seconded and passed. 

Committees:

·       Race – Chief Short reminded everyone race is November 13th – 17th.  Remember to register on the web site.  Free room if work more than one day.  TIPS training good for 3 years and will be reimbursed. Black slacks, shoes, and hat.  Shirt will be provided.

 

 

 

·       Ship Liaison – Senior Chief Starr noted HMS Argyle in port now for repairs.  Senior Chief is Broward Navy Days chair.  Expected Fleet Week arrival April 29th.  If they arrive Wednesday, will have reception Thursday.  USS Cole will be here.  Looking at 4-6 sships.

 

·       Induction – Chief Drago reminded everyone of location:  Camp Elmo at Griffin and I-75. 

 

·       Awards – NTR.

 

Old Business:

·       Other events:

§       Bowling September 21st 1300 possible.

§       September 20th SEAL UDT Fort Pierce.  Cost is $8.00 with CPOA paying half. 

§       October 18th Xtreme Indoor Karting.

§       December 4th Holiday Party.  Tropical Acres selected.

§       Cruise – Suggestion to have in February for Valentine’s Day since no sailings after New Year.  Would leave February 13th

§       Key West trip in April 2015.

Good of the Order:

·       5K run to raise funds for Sea Cadets October 11th on Hollywood Beach.

·       Reminder about Marlins games.
