Minutes from the Previous Meeting.  Motion to accept minutes as posted.  Duly seconded and approved. 

Treasurer’s Report:   Senior Chief Roy reported outstanding check, $150.  Checking $10,043.13, Savings $3,162.80, money market $40,306.47, totaling $53,512.40. Motion to accept report; duly seconded and passed. 

Committees:

·       Ship Liaison – Senior Chief Starr reported the last FFG came to Port Everglades last week and Broward Navy League had a reception at the Briny Pub.  It will be decommissioned. 

·       Fleet Week.  Next Fleet Week already scheduled with probably 4-5 ships.  Mesa Verde will be big deck.  Reception will be May 3rd.  Yacht rides will be May 4th and will be sanctioned event. 

·       CPO365 – Chief McTee reported results just released.  Three selectees here tonight.

·       Awards – Gayle Malone received award; text as follows:  Recognized and awarded this date in grateful recognition of your sustained superior engagement with, and for, the United States Navy Chief Petty Officers Mess and the Maritime Enlisted Community.  You are hereby designated with hesitation as an Honorary Life Time Member of the Chief Petty Officers Association of Miami.  This designation elevates you to status within this association to commensurate with those who don or have donned Anchors and are called Chief.  For service set forth from1997 – Present.  Bravo Zulu.

·       Social Committee – Master Chief Robertson reported only 3 came to Billiards Club in Sunrise.  July 11th Sea Legs fishing trip.  Cruise will be October 30th – November 1st, date selected by majority vote.  Will be on Celebration since the other cruise line prices keep fluctuating.  Details on website and in email.  Be sure to make reservations with David Hegstrom.  Bowling August 23rd at 1400.

·       SouthCom Chiefs Mess doing fund raiser for member with cancer.

·       SouthCom coins available for $20.

·       Tony Acosta and Steve Rose to work on t-shirts.
