Meeting called to order by Chief Buck McTee: 1930

Pledge of Allegiance and Moment of Silence.

Minutes from the Previous Meeting.  Motion to accept minutes as posted.  Duly seconded and approved. 

Treasurer’s Report:   Senior Chief Roy reported Fleet Week raised $37,513.19.  This is the most we’ve ever raised but this was also the most expensive.  He detailed the expenses which totaled $14,493.00.  Net about $23,000.  $722.80 in outstanding checks.  Checking $9,101.93, event $32,800, Savings $3,161.48, money market $10,298.72, totaling $$55,362.13. Motion to accept report; duly seconded and passed. 

Committees:

·       Ship Liaison – Senior Chief Starr noted successful Fleet Week.

·       Fleet Week.  NTR

·       Induction – NTR

·       Awards – NTR

·       Social Committee – Master Chief Robertson reported great time at Key West.  Looking at April 15th for next year’s event.  Next event bowling this Sunday at 1300.  Go to new site at www.cpoamiami.org to sign up. Sea Legs fishing trip in July will be about $25.  Tri-birthday celebration for Chuck, Gayle, and Mike this Saturday at 1800.  Cruise in October will be a 3-night cruise and slightly more expensive than previous trips. Looking at Halloween weekend.

 

Old Business:

·       Next meeting June 6th at NOSC.  July meeting on the 9th.

·       During Fleet Week, submarine had an issue with their reactor.  Because they weren’t able to have hot meals, Broward Navy Days suggested  buying pizza.  Bill was $2,560.  Motion to pay $1,000 from CPOA and send rest of bill  to BND.  Seconded and unanimously approved.

·       Thanks from Chief Powell for support and prayers for Suellen. 

·       Memorial Day May 25th ceremony in Sunrise.
