Meeting called to order by Chief Buck McTee: 1930.

Minutes from the Previous Meeting. Motion to accept minutes as posted. Duly seconded and approved.
Treasurer’s Report: Senior Chief Roy reported 2 outstanding checks: $150 for plaques and $300 for fishing. Checking balance $9,199.77; savings $3,171.39, money market $20,465.47; event account $44,984.44; total $77,821.07. Motion to accept report. Duly seconded and approved.
Committees:
· Ship Liaison – Senior Chief Starr thanked those who participated in Senior Chief Black’s Memorial ceremony and the retirement ceremony at Coral Ridge Yacht Club. The USS Fort Lauderdale will be LPD 28 and should be commissioned in about five and one half years. Senior Chief Starr is again the chair for the 2017 Fleet Week. There will be nine ships this coming year: an LPD, 2 cruisers, 2 destroyers, 1 sub, 1 USCG fast response cutter, 2 Canadian ships. He also read a letter from the USS California thanking us for our support during the 2016 Fleet Week.
· CPO365 – Chief Davis reported on calendar. Shock and Awe will be at Clewiston Elks August 6th. Family Meet and Greet will be at Equestrian Park in Davie August 13th. The Anchor Auction is a CPO fundraiser for the selectees (khaki ball) and will be held at 1600 at the VFW on August 11th. Although he avoided the word dinner, he did say there will be food served. Teach Back training will be at the Sea Cadet Building on August 12th.
· Awards – Chief Short had plaques and jacket to show. Motion to have raffle for a jacket at the holiday dinner. Duly seconded and unanimously approved. Will decide pricing at later date. Can also buy a jacket for $130.
· MWR - Master Chief Robertson stressed need to sign up on the web site in case of cancellations, etc. Cruise October 28th. All information is on our web site. Fishing excursion on Sea Legs July 16th a success. Bowling July 31st only had 2 in attendance. Next bowling will be a selectee event.
Old Business:
· USS Charles Adams, DDG-2: Bringing ship from Philadelphia to Mayport. Request $1,500 donation. Tabled again pending more information from Chief Tedlow and Master Chief LaCoursiere.
· Holiday dinner at Tropical Acres. Dates available December 11th or 16th. Motion to accept the 16th. Duly seconded and approved. Cocktail hour will be at 1800 followed by dinner at 1900.
New Business:
· Discussion of t-shirt order to assist fundraising efforts. Motion to order half cotton and half sweat wicking material in colors demonstrated by Chief McTee.
· Navy Ball. Will be October 15th at Westin in Fort Lauderdale. Motion to pay ½ for up to $20 for junior sailors to attend. Duly seconded and approved.
· MA replacement. Will table until September meeting.
Good of the Order:
· Chief McTee encouraged participation in retirements, memorials, etc..
