 Meeting called to order by Chief Buck McTee: 1930.

Minutes from the Previous Meeting.  Motion to accept minutes as posted.  Duly seconded and approved. 

Treasurer’s Report:   Chief Roy reported outstanding checks totaling $98.59.  Wrote check for new coins $1,195. Checking balance $7,729.68 savings $3,174.03, money market $50,556.99; total $61,4603.071.  Received $1,209 in tip money from races.  Tentative room cost for races $1,400.16.  End of year expense  total $41,480. Motion to accept report.  Duly seconded and approved.  Had 19 gift cards for end of the year sailor recognition.

Committees:

·       Ship Liaison – Senior Chief Starr reported USS Zumwalt had broken down again.  Had 3 events on Veterans Day.  Pearl  Harbor ceremony will be at the Coast Guard station Port Everglades December 4th at 1400.  Suggest arriving early for good parking.  Chief Short noted that we should all be more supportive on the efforts of  Senior Chief Starr.

·       CPO365 – NTR

·       Awards – NTR.

·       MWR - Master Chief Robertson reported next event is annual Holiday Dinner December  16th at Tropical Acres at 1800.  Need to sign up on website if you plan to attend.Uniform is summer whites.  Key West trip planned for April 7th weekend.

·       CRYC – NTR

·       T-shirts and new coins – Chief Echeverria will deliver t-shirts to new  president.  Will be receiving 200 of the new coins.  Suggestion to have new coin design on the t-shirts for next year.

·       None

New Business:

·       Second call for nominations for 2017 officers:  President:  Monica Sions;  Vice-president:  Ron Zasloff;  Treasurer: Ron Roy; Secretary:  Gayle Malone; Master-at-arms:  Jose Soto.  Congratulations to  all.

·       NRD having training symposium in Orlando.  Chief Echeverria requested an additional donation of $1,000.  Duly seconded.  Approved 9, opposed 11; motion failed..

·       Motion to double current donation to AFSC.  Chief Powell reported that there has been an increase in traffic due to the holidays.  Motion amended to send $500 immediately.  Duly seconded and passed.

·       Chief Short requested generic business cards to hand out at events.  Will send design to Chief Roy for printing.

·       Possible cruise fundraiser.  Stan Bostic sent email to Chief Roy.  Invicta offered Jason Taylor Foundation a block of rooms for a cruise February 10th – 13th (4 day, 3 night to Nassau) for $150 per room double occupancy.  Will work with Master Chief Robinson to iron out details and Chief Roy will post information on website.

Good of the Order:

·       Reminder by Master Chief Robinson that with aging membership, need to be looking at ways to ensure the future of the organization.

·       Mike  Reynolds’ father-in-law is seriously ill.  Need to reach out to him.

·       Bravo Zulu to Chief Powell for excellent job in sending flowers and cards.
