Meeting called to order by Chief Buck McTee: 1930.

Pledge of Allegiance and Moment of Silence.

LOA to VFW Fort Lauderdale due to the support during Phase II of CPO 365.

Minutes from the Previous Meeting. Motion to accept minutes as posted. Duly seconded and approved.

Treasurer’s Report: Senior Chief Roy reported checking balance $12,518.75; savings $3,166.78; money market $30,389.28; total $46,074.81. Total philanthropy to date: $17,611.78. Motion to accept report. Duly seconded and approved.

Committees:

Race – Chief Short reported $9051.46 received. From tips $800 for a total of $9851.46.
Scholarship – None at the time. Next one will start in July / September.
Philanthropy – Coast Guard staff from Fort Lauderdale presented a card of gratitude to Senior Chief Starr.
Sea Service Veterans Assistance. NTR

· Ship Liaison – $75 gift cards were delivered to Junior Sailors and Sea Cadets during the Holidays.

· Fleet Week. There will be a meeting next month. Strike Group 2 will be on dock Tuesday and Wednesday night. We will work on transportation.

· CPO365 – Ken Larson is on the mix. Sign up for events will be out next month.

· Awards – NTR

· Social Committee – Master Chief Robertson reported Holiday party was great, recommend that Gayle gets recognized. Bowling January 24^th at 1400. April Key West trip being planned for 15^th – 17^th. Check email coming up! $120 per night in a Town House with 3 bedrooms.

Old Business: Master Chief Robertson asked when we wanted to go on the cruise, Valentine’s Day or Halloween. (Most likely through the Bahamas Celebration cruise line). Motion was done for September or October 3 day cruise with a total of 10 votes for October.

New Business:

· Master Chief George requested $500 donation to offset for lunch for about 50 Sailors that will attend the South Florida CPO 365 in Fort Pierce Seal Museum. Duly seconded and approved.

· There will be a ceremony in Fort Lauderdale remembering the 4 Chaplains on January 31^st.

· Chief Mike Short requests to start a campaign including all the CPOAs to create a fund for a Fisher House on a Navy base. We will contact the International President of the CPOA, start State side and move to National.

· Pay dues $20 for the remaining year and cycle will be moved to start in August.

· Honor flight ceremony for WWII Vets will be on January 22^nd.

· MIA flight to Washington including 75 WWII and Vietnam Vets will be on April 22^nd.

Good of the Order:

· Thanks expressed from Mater Chief George for the “Get Well” card.

· The Pearl Harbor ceremony went well. There are only 7 survivors left in the country. Thanks for the participation.
