Minutes from the Previous Meeting.  Motion to accept minutes as posted.  Duly seconded and approved. 

Treasurer’s Report:   Senior Chief Roy reported 2 outstanding checks:  $120 to USS Bainbridge and $339.53 for banners.  Checking balance $10,206.28; savings $3,170.72, money market $20,457.67; event account $44,844.44; total $78,679.11.  Request from membership for quarterly report of balance changes.  Need to spend about $20,000 by next May. Reviewed current philanthropic endeavors.  Discussion about sponsoring junior sailors to  Navy Ball.  Motion to accept report.  Duly seconded and approved. 

Committees:

·       Ship Liaison – Master Chief LaCoursiere spoke about sparse attendance at two recent retirement ceremonies.

·        CPO365 – Chief Davis and Chief Oviedo passed out  information.  Will also  be relaying information to Senior Chief Roy.  Discussed venues  for training.  Final night is still Camp Elmore.  Have Google calendar.  Force Protection requirements complicate some events.  New directions just came out 3 weeks ago.  Discussed fund raising ideas.  Three upcoming events:  Indoc, Shock & Awe, Family Meet & Greet August 13th

·       Awards – Chief Short has ordered approved items.

·       MWR - Master Chief Robertson stressed need to sign up on the web site in case of cancellations, etc.  Cruise October 28th.  All information is on our web site.  Fishing excursion on Sea Legs in July 16th. Bowling July 31st.  Chief Tedlow asked if any interest in going to Jacksonville for Notre Dame versus Navy game, November 6th.

 

Old Business:

·       USS Charles Adams, DDG-2:  Bringing ship from Philadelphia to Mayport.  Request $1,500 donation. Tabled again pending more information from Chief Tedlow and Master  Chief LaCoursiere.

New Business:

·       Motion to increase donation to Navy Marine Corp Relief to $2,000. Motion died due to lack of a second.

·       Motion to keep Holiday party at Tropical Acres.  Duly seconded and approved.  Date tentatively set for  December 2nd.

·       Suggestion to pay  for child care for sailors banquet.  Chief Oviedo will research and bring information to the next meeting. 

Good of the Order:

·       Chief Powell given names of those needing cards and flowers.

Motion to adjourn:  2056.  Duly seconded and passed.
