 Meeting called to order by Chief Buck McTee: 1930

Pledge of Allegiance and Moment of Silence.  

Introduced Command Master Chief Rick Moreya of NRD.  Spoke of Phase 2 now Tried, Tested, and Accepted.

Minutes from the Previous Meeting.  Motion to accept minutes as posted.  Duly seconded and approved. 

Treasurer’s Report:   Senior Chief Roy reported checking balance $11,544.93; savings $3,170.07, money market $20,450.13; event account $44,844.44; total $80,009.57.  Net income from Reception $29,000.  Reported on all expenses for Chief Petty Officers Reception at Coral Ridge Yacht Club.  Stressed need to everyone to find philanthropic needs which meet our requirements.  Motion to accept report.  Duly seconded and approved. 

Committees:

·       Ship Liaison – Senior Chief reported skipper of USS California thanked us  for Fleet Week event.  CRYC has new member who  will be retiring from the Navy.  Details to follow.

·       Fleet Week.  NTR

·       CPO365 – Chief Pendergraft said there is a conference call every Wednesday.  Many moving parts.  Looking for leads to do some training.

·       Awards – Chief Short working on gift for ladies of CRYC who helped on our event.

·       MWR - Master Chief Robertson reported Tri-birthday celebration well attended. 
Next bowling June 19th
Cruise October 28th(All information is on our web site.) 
Fishing excursion on Sea Legs in July 16th..

Old Business:

o      Would like to have a family picnic.

New Business:

·       USS Charles Adams, DDG-2:  Bringing ship from Philadelphia to Mayport.  Request $1,500 donation tothis museum.  Motion tabled pending more  information from Chief Tedlow.

·       New coin.  Chief Echeverria requsted approval to develop new coin for us keeping one side same logo and other side to incorporate logos from all of the other South Florida messes.  Motion duly seconded and unanimously approved.

·       Carrie B escursion.  Gayle has free passes for daytime trip to evaluate as a possible venue for MWR event.  Will follow up with date and time for volunteers.

·       Sailor in need at NOSC.  Chief Burke requested $1,000.  Petty Officer Second Class Nicole LeRoux,  Motion duly seconded and approved.

·       Military Hero Support.  Chief Echeveria requested volunteer labor to assist in creating care packages on August 13th from 10 a.m – noon.

Good of the Order:

·       Several chiefs spoke about the moving Memorial Day services they attended.
