Meeting called to order by Chief Buck McTee: 1930.

Pledge of Allegiance and Moment of Silence.

Minutes from the Previous Meeting. Motion to accept minutes as posted. Duly seconded and approved.

Treasurer’s Report: Senior Chief Roy reported checking balance $11,601.66; savings $3,169.40; money market $20,439.54; event account $43,009.44; checks to be deposited $11,849.00; total $90,065.04. Reported on all expenses for Chief Petty Officers Reception at Coral Ridge Yacht Club. Stressed need everyone to find philanthropic needs which meet our requirements. Motion to accept report. Duly seconded and approved.

Committees:

Race – Chief Short reported next event November 17^th – 20^th.
Scholarship – Applications due by August 1^st. Suggestion to meet earlier to discuss applicants and email package to committee members. Suggestions to consider July deadline for next year.
Philanthropy – Chief Powell read thank-you from Navy Marine Corps Relief Foundation. Send needs to Chief Powell.
Sea Service Veterans Assistance. NTR

· Ship Liaison – Senior Chief Starr said Fleet Week very successful. Stressed that this is one of the few events that brings the mess together.

· Fleet Week. Packed reception. Yacht rides rained out and held at Point Bar. Reserved seating did not work well; logistical nightmare.

· CPO365 – Event last Friday well attended.

· Awards – Jackets ordered for Joe Verderber, Vinny Promuto, and Ken Vathauer. Also have plaque for honorary membership. Discussed Lucite plaque or pin for wives.

· Social Committee – Master Chief Robertson suggested changing name to MWR. Approved. Key West trip successful. May bowling will be rescheduled. Cruise October 28^th. Bravo Zulu to Gina Hall for getting the travel agent information. This will be Royal Caribbean out of Miami. Khaki uniform will be one night. Will ask captain to join us one night. All information is on our web site. Fishing excursion on Sea Legs in July, date TBA.

Old Business:

New Business:

· Khaki Ball. Request for $3,000 deposit to be reimbursed. Motion made and duly seconded; unanimously approved.

· Sea Cadet request. Motion requesting $250 donation for both Spruance and Zeus Sea Cadet to attend summer camp, total $500. Duly seconded and approved.

· Veteran Organization. Chief Paul asked approval to bring representative to meeting. Will bring more information to June Meeting.

Good of the Order:

· Chief Short has shirts and will be ordering more.

· Chief Mohsin Ali registered our association with FPL and we are now receiving donations from them.

· Senior Chief Starr requested everyone go to an event to remember our fallen

· The annual tri-birthday celebration for Mike Short, Chuck Robertson, and Gayle Malone will be Saturday, May 21^st at 1800 here.

· Chief McTee appointed Gayle Malone secretary.
