Meeting called to order by Chief Buck McTee: 1930.

Pledge of Allegiance, Sailor’s Creed and Moment of Silence. Introduced first time attendees: Chief Troy Pitman

Minutes from the Previous Meeting. Motion to accept minutes as posted. Duly seconded and approved.

Treasurer’s Report: Chief Roy reported outstanding checks totaling $2,981.00. Checking balance $4,848.07 savings $3,173.38, money market $55,531.96; total $63,553.41. Motion to accept report. Duly seconded and approved.

Committees:

Race – Chief Short reported next event November 17^th – 20^th. Need people to sign up on website. Very few people have signed up so far and this information is needed ASAP.
Scholarship – NTR.
Philanthropy – Chief Powell read Happy Veterans Day card and Thank-you note from Mel Roy.
Sea Service Veterans Assistance. NTR

· Ship Liaison – Senior Chief Starr reported USS Zumwalt can’t make it. Will send plaque to them. No changes on Fleet Week. Veterans Day ceremonies will be in the City of Sunrise at 1000. Suggestion to have as many as possible attend this ceremony.

· CPO365 – NTR

· Awards – NTR.

· MWR - Master Chief Robertson bowling on October 23^rd was well attended as was Cruise October 2^8th. Holiday Dinner will be December 16^th at Tropical Acres at 1800. Uniform is summer whites. Key West trip planned for April 7^th weekend.

· CRYC – Had first planning meeting. Yacht rides will be night following our reception.

Old Business:

· T-shirts – Chief Echeverria has some still available.

· Navy Ball – This went very well.

New Business:

· First call for nominations for 2017 officers: President: Monica Sions; Vice-president: Hermes Oliva, Jose Soto, Ron Zasloff; Treasurer: Ron Roy; Secretary: Gayle Malone; Master-at-arms: Jose Soto.

· Motion to treat member spouses and associate members with their spouses as we do members and all events. For example, at the Holiday Party, their dinner should be free as well. This would apply to all events but is not retroactive. Duly seconded and approved.

· NRD having training symposium in Orlando. Chief Budhoo requested donation to subsidize childcare for E-6 and below. Motion to donate $3,696. Duly seconded. Approved 10, opposed 11; motion failed. Motion to donate $1,000 for this effort. Duly seconded. Approved 20, opposed 1; motion passed.

· Motion to double current donation to AFSC. Chief Powell will investigate need. Motion tabled.

Good of the Order:

· Saturday, November 19^th fundraising event at NOSC. Need flyer for restaurant.

· Changing membership may mean looking at things in new ways.

· Chief Sions needs volunteers for Marines at NOSC.

· Chief Box noted there will be changes to Phase 2.

· Chief Drago thanked Chief Tedlow for his efforts.
