Minutes from the Previous Meeting.  Motion to accept minutes as posted.  Duly seconded and approved. 

Treasurer’s Report:   Chief Roy reported audit this evening and all is well.  Outstanding checks total $5,038.41; outstanding deposits from cruise and NASCAR total $9,089.33.  Checking balance $7,153.60 savings $3,174.70, money market $50,580.54; total $60,908.84.  Motion to accept report.  Duly seconded and approved. 

Committees:

·       Ship Liaison – Senior Chief Starr reported meeting with Strike Group in 2 weeks.  Lead ship for Fleet Week will be USS New York.  Also, noted Fleet Week in San Diego going bankrupt.

·       CPO365 Would like to have Ropes Course in Dania February or march.  Cost varies with number of participants. 

·       Awards – Presented awards to Chief Powell, Krista Hamilton of Homestead Inn, and Chief McTee.

·       MWR - Master Chief Robertson reported successful Holiday Dinner.  Cruise is next event; currently have 16 cabins.  Need to sign up on website if you plan to attend.  Key West trip planned for April 7th weekend.

·       CRYC – Meeting scheduled for end of month.

·       T-shirts and new coins – Chief Echeverria reported shirts and coins available.

 

Old Business:

·       None

New Business:

·       Retirement ceremony for Chief Chris Arnold at NOSC, Thursday, January 12th.

·       Request for donation to supplement Ropes Course in Dania.  Will research cost, dates, and possibility of other donations.  Request tabled until next month.

·       Florida Chief License tags.  This is a possibility.  Need pre-order of 1000 and process takes about 2 years.  Chief Washington will chair committee to investigate this and what it might mean for our association.

Good of the Order:

·       Reminder by Master Chief Robinson that with aging membership, need to be looking at ways to ensure the future of the organization and need volunteers for various standing committees.

·       Bravo Zulu to Stan Bostic for cruise fundraiser.

·       Chief Arnold expressed gratitude for support from association.

Motion to adjourn:  2023.  Duly seconded and passed.
