Minutes from the Previous Meeting.  Motion to accept minutes as posted.  Duly seconded and approved.  

 

Treasurer’s Report:   Senior Chief Roy reported three outstanding checks.  Checking balance $20, 520.76 savings $3,180.62, money market $65,775.99; total $89, 477.37.  Motion to accept report.  Duly seconded and approved.  Note that dues are payable now.

 

Committees:

 

·       Ship Liaison – Senior Chief Starr reported Fleet Week will take place 30 April-6 May. The Ship assigned will be the USS Kearsarge in addition to two DDGs, one submarine and a Coast Guard cutter. There is a possibility of the Royal Navy participation. There will be a 5K run with the Sea Cadets scheduled for October 14, 2017. To register please follow the link: www.ftlseacadets.org

Senior Chief Starr also announced the sad passing of Pearl Harbor survivor Chief Eddie Hammond.

 

·        CPO365  Phase II report:  every command doing their own training plan.  Senior Chief Briseno announced his pleasure with the last class and expressed his satisfaction with the training and the new Chiefs.

 

·        MWR – Master Chief Robertson the holiday dinner is scheduled for December 9th starting at 1800. It was also agreed that there will be a charge of $25.00 per person. Choices for the menu and dessert were also discussed.  The uniform will be Summer Whites and appropriate civilian attire. The Key West trip is currently scheduled for April 21-22 and the Bahamas cruise for February 23rd – 26th, 2018. 

 

·       Awards – NTR

   

·        CRYC – Master Chief LaCoursiere reported that Joe Verderber will not be heading this up this year.

 

·        Old Business:

·       None.

 

New Business:

·       Motion to donate $ 4,000 to NRD Miami to provide assistance to Sailors currently suffering with the aftermath of hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico. Duly seconded and approved. 

·       An additional eleven motions were proposed and approved:

One motion made to assist the Miami JROTC with $250, proposed and approved:

Master Chief LaCoursiere made a motion to make Master Chief Robertson the acting Vice President due to the fact Senior Chief Zasloff will be out OCONUS.  Motion passed.
