 Meeting called to order by Senior Chief Ron Zasloff: 1930.  

Pledge of Allegiance, Sailor’s Creed and Moment of Silence.

Minutes from the Previous Meeting.  Motion to accept minutes as posted.  Duly seconded and approved.  


Treasurer’s Report
:
  Senior Chief Roy reported 2 outstanding checks.  

Check # 1025 CPO Birthday cake for $58.27 

Check # 1029 FW2019 Cigars for $500.00


Checking Account balance: $15,830.72

Savings Account:  $3,194.11

Money Market Account: $41,379.98

Duly seconded and approved.  Note that dues are payable now.



Committees

Scholarship: Applications must be submitted by June 30th

 

Philanthropy: Cards sent to Paul Douglas

 

Ship Liaison: Senior Chief Starr was not present; however, he notified the CPOA Mess that he received plenty of positive feedback for the Chief’s reception. Force Master Chief was impressed and happy to have received a cover from his first ship. Plans continue to move forward for the USS Paul Ignatius commissioning scheduled for July 27th, 2019.

VA Liaison: A request was received form a veteran to pay for the car insurance payment. Further inspection by Master Chief Robertson revealed that the veteran was actually up to date with the insurance payments.  No payment was issued.

BMC Mike Short would like to advertise his letter to the Mess…Mike’s Word of Wisdom!

 

Chief Hall announced that the German Armed Forces Proficiency Badge is returning to SOUTHCOM and is open to all military active duty and retired. Testing will be conducted from May 28th to May 30th.

Day 1: 25m Pistol Qualification/100m swim in uniform

Day 2: German Physical Fitness Test/Ruck March

Day 3: Awards Ceremony
