-          CPOA meeting was called to order by Master Chief Chuck Robertson at 1930.

Pledge of Allegiance and Moment of Silence followed by the Sailors Creed.

-          Chuck – welcome our new members or returning, Bob White “RM”, AJ New.ish…”

 Minutes from the Previous Meeting. Motion to accept minutes as posted. Duly seconded and approved.

Treasurer’s Report: Agreed to pay $1,000 for the sea cadets building “not processed yet” Discussion still pending. Tabled.

Motion to accept the treasurer’s report. Duly seconded and approved.

Committees:

·         Awards – Chief Short, NTR

·         Scholarship – Chief Tedlow, awarded 2 $1,000 Scholarships, and the winner are Hailey McTee and Erin Zasloff

·         Philanthropy – Chief Powell, Thanks for the flowers card came from Chief Marcello. Thank you for the flag lowering ceremony Vinny would have loved it, Alexis.                                                                               “Can you write about the legacy tree info for Paul”

·         Ship Liaison – Senior Chief Starr, NTR

·         Fleet Week - NTR

·         Season – CMDCS Briody:  Results came out 17 August. Our Sept meeting will be at the NOSC at 1700 on Saturday, September 11^th, and there will be selects there to meet the CPOA. Masks are mandatory at the NOSC. Vaccinations are now also mandatory to all DOD.

·         CRYC – Master Chief LaCoursiere, NTR

·         MWR – Holiday dinner, will be December 11^th at 6pm at Tropical Acers, $25 a person. Khakis are the uniform and food choices will be Filet, sea bass and prime rib.

·         VA Liaison – Master Chief Robertson, NTR

·         Fund Raising – Chief George:  NTR,  Not invited back to BB&T yet, looking into F1 race, the race will run for 10 years. Hard rock NFL a possibility, the main issue is getting bodies to participate. Raffles at the legion if you vote to do fund raising you need to participate! Commands come for help but need to participate in fund raising and money should come to the CPOA since we give money to all commands. Need contact from all commands.

Old Business:

·         Gary is going to create a Facebook account for the CPOA.

New Business:

·         Celebrating the 1991 commissioning of the NOSC. The NOSC will do a November 20 year anniversary of the commissioning inviting all the plank owner and the Mess.

·         Motion made and passed to change the bylaws for the scholarship funds to read. “You can apply for 4 years towards any degree from an accredited institution.”

Good of the Order:

·         Friday September 10^th Southcom is hosting a 9/11 memorial at the Miami military heritage museum.

·         50/50 raffle after the meeting for $1
