-          CPOA meeting was called to order by Master Chief Chuck Robertson at 1930.

Pledge of Allegiance and Moment of Silence followed by the Sailors Creed.

-         Chuck – welcome our new members or returning, John Petroske returning.

 

-          Minutes from the Previous Meeting. Motion to accept minutes as posted. Duly seconded and approved.

 

Treasurer’s Report:

Checks outstanding;   $1,000 for gift cards, $600 for plaques

Outstanding deposit; None

Checking $4,113.70

Savings $3,214.20

CD $15,745.87

Total $49,927.09

Motion to accept the treasurer’s report. Duly seconded and approved.

 

Committees:

·         Awards – Chief Short, NTR

·         Scholarship – Chief Tedlow, Apply by June 30th, 2022.

·         Philanthropy – Chief Powell, CPOA  sent out condolence cards to Chief Short whose wife Jennifer passed away and  Chief Jeffery Ximenes, whose  father  passed away.

    The CPOA Will be sending out birthday cards to December  birthday members.

    Note that CPOA received a Thank You care from Chief Ximenes thanking the Association for its kind thoughts.

·         Ship Liaison – Senior Chief Starr, NTR

·         Fleet Week – CPO reception will be held at Coral Ridge Yacht club. The first meeting will be January 13th at 1000 at the yacht club.

·         Season – CMDCS Briody, final night went well and everyone was accepted.

·         CRYC – Master Chief LaCoursiere, NTR

·         MWR – Holiday dinner, will be December 11th at 6pm at Tropical Acers, $25 a person. Khakis is the uniform and food choices will be Filet, sea bass and prime rib.

    Khaki ball in on December 4th, 4 tickets left, and there is a heritage table for retirees.

    Key West is now open except the Fly Navy bldg., planning a trip for April 22 & 23.

·       VA Liaison – Master Chief Robertson, paid a light bill for $52.25.
    Turned down a request for $612 for electric bill, it included his $300 deposit as they would not seperate his deposit out of the bill.

·        Fund Raising – Chief George, Not invited back to BB&T yet, looking into F1 race, the race will run for 10 years.
    Hard rock NFL possibility, main issue is getting bodies to participate. Raffles at the legion,

 

Old Business:

 

·         Discussion was made about changing the bylaws for the scholarship portion. Ron will work on it.

 

·         Created the Facebook page. We have over fifty members already joined.

 

·         Motion was made and approved to changing the location of the CPOA meeting location to the American legion Copper city with the flexibility to hold it at the NOSC the next meet will be on the 13th of January 2022.

 

New Business:

 

·         Motion made to rescind the motion to raffle off $100 to pay their dues early. Motion is approved.

 

·         We will give a letter and card to the newly pinned Chiefs to invite them to meetings and be part of the CPOA.

 

·         Held discussion about why the new chiefs do not attend meetings.

 

·         Motion made and approved to put the money from savings into our money market account to gain better interest on our money.

 

·         Held elections congratulations to the following officers:

Good of the Order:

 

·         50/50 raffle after the meeting for $1
