CPOA meeting was called to order by Master Chief Chuck Robertson at 1930.

Pledge of Allegiance and Moment of Silence followed by the Sailors Creed.

-       Chuck – welcome our new members or returning, None

          Minutes from the Previous Meeting. Motion to accept minutes as posted. Duly seconded and approved.

Treasurer’s Report:

Checks outstanding; #1079 Arroyo $1,000

Outstanding deposit; None

Checking  $  6,735.85
Savings     $  3,213.52
MM         $ 26,843.06
CD          $ 15,738.52

Total        $ 52,738.95

Motion to accept the treasurer’s report. Duly seconded and approved.

Committees:

·        Awards – Chief Short, NTR

·        
 Scholarship – Chief Tedlow, Apply by July 2022.

·        
 Philanthropy – Chief Powell, Gayle Malone’s mother Stella was very sick and passed away, we  sent flower and received a thank you card. 
                          Received a thank you from Christy Hottinger when Chief George Collin passed away and she sent a $100 donation. 
                          Jim Trunk passed away. He donated $10,000 a year for 3 years.
                          AJ says thank you for the card after his surgery.

·         Ship Liaison – Senior Chief Starr, NTR

·         Fleet Week - NTR

·         Season – CMDCS Briody, The Mess and Selects are going to Key west on October 21^st and 22^nd to do their uniform fitting, comrels,
                 and training with the Key west Mess.

                 ALL are invited to the Anchor auction on 10/28 at 1830. The location is the American Legion Post 92 in Hollywood Fl.

                 The Command birthday ceremony on November 6^th at the NOSC. There will be a heritage event at 1400 with the selectees and the command.

                The Khaki ball is on December 4^th at Don Shula's at 1700 in Miami lakes. There will be a heritage table for the CPOA members.
                More info will be put out at the next meeting.

·         CRYC – Master Chief LaCoursiere, NTR

·         MWR – Holiday dinner, will be December 11^th at 6pm at Tropical Acres, $25 a person. Khakis is the uniform and food choices will be Filet, sea bass and prime rib.
               Key west is now open except the Fly Navy bldg.

·         VA Liaison – Master Chief Robertson,  NTR

·         Fund Raising – Chief George,. Not invited back to BB&T yet, looking into F1 race, the race will run for 10 years.
                          Hard rock NFL possibility, main issue is getting bodies to participate. Raffles at the legion,

Old Business:

·         Discussion was made about changing the bylaws for the scholarship portion. We picked a lead to start a committee for any changes to the bylaws.

New Business:

·         Motion to donate $500 to fund the Chief Selects for their trip to Key west. Motion was seconded and approved

·         Discussion was made about changing the location of the CPOA meeting location to the NOSC, Cooper City, Pompano or Hollywood FL. No motion was made.

Good of the Order:

·         50/50 raffle after the meeting for $1
