CPOA meeting was called to order by BMCM Chuck Robertson at 1502.
 
Pledge of Allegiance and Moment of Silence followed by the Sailors Creed.

Chuck – welcomed our new members or returning,

Minutes from the Previous Meeting. Motion to accept minutes as posted. Duly seconded and approved.

MMC Marcello will forward information about the WPB Season and the Anchor auction.
HMCS Billini advised of the following dates and evolutions:

o   September 27 – Anchor auction Navy Reserve Center Miami. Chuck recommended the Genuines wear khakis.

o   September 29 – Uniform / Key West trip

o   October 15 – The Selects will be running the Honor Courage and Commitment Sea Cadet 5K run in Hollywood Beach – Immediately after the run, the Select team building exercises will take place on the beach. Pride shirts for Genuines. (Run starts at 0730 - Bring your sunblock and water)   

o   October 20 – Final night

o   October 21 – Pinning

o   October 28 – Khaki Ball

·         CRYC – Master Chief LaCoursiere -  NTR  

·         MWR – HMC Rick Tedlow

o   Bowling on September 25^th 1400-1600. Manor Lanes in Wilton Manors. Event with selectees. Fees paid members and selectees are paid by the CPOA, guests $12.50. Event sign up on CPOA website.

o   Possible Fishing outing tabled.

o   Key West trip – March 17-20, 2023

o   Lodging suggestions available: Townhouses, Fly Navy, Navy Lodge,

o   Maritza can help members needing guidance.  

o   Navy vs. UCF football game – November 19. 2022.  Deadline to sign up: September 18. Ron will put out email.

§  LSCS Rosenberg: Tour bus 56 pax: approximately $2000 total. If 50 participants go - $40/pp

o   Margaritaville Cruise – Sails from Port of Palm Beach. 3 day / 2 night cruise offering a free cabin for servicemembers (port charges and parking additional). Guests pay full fare and additional costs. Cruise specifics will be posted on the CPOA website. Date TBD – Discussed possible Chief’s birthday as a date but it conflicts with reserve duty weekend.

o   Motion was made to commit to Key West trip for March 17-20.

Good of the Order:  

Chuck noted that CPOA officer nominations will be held in November and December 2022 with the final vote in December 2022.

Chris Marcello advised of a clay shooting event. $90 – breakfast, lunch and all the clay you can shoot. Information on the CPOA website.
