CPOA meeting was called to order by Pam at 1942
 
Pledge of Allegiance and Moment of Silence followed by the Sailors Creed.

Minutes from the Previous Meeting. Motion to accept minutes Duly seconded and approved.

Treasurer’s Report:

§  Norm gave an update on Jason’s (son) recovery from a very bad automobile accident.

·       Ship Liaison – Chuck (temporary head)

·        All Starr will continue to liaise with ship leadership.

4 ships – coming in for fleet week.

o   Fleet Week – Chuck (temporary head)

o   Schedule of events is published on the website

o   Fleet week begins April 22- The Chief’s Reception is April 23 at 1800

o   Tony Cuin is being groomed to take over for Paul

o   Uniform – Blue CPOA shirts with khaki pants – retired

o   Active Commands – Khaki’s


·        Season – Andrew

Natalie is this year’s chair. Once training schedule is out, she or Andrew will share with CPOA.

·         CRYC – Master Chief LaCoursiere – NTR

·      VA Liaison – BMCM Chuck Robertson – NTR
 

·        MWR – HMC Rick Tedlow

·        Bowling evolution – TBD. One event with the first classes and one with the Selectees has been presented to NRC Miami. We await confirmation from NRC leadership.  

·        Fishing evolution – possibly for May 18.

·        Murder Mystery train ride – TBD – Rick Tedlow will look into it.

o    

o   Navy Ball – AJ: Location has been chosen and we’re considering possible dates. Matt suggested summer months are less expensive to book events at most venues. Thanks to Matt, we have possible second and third event venues as options. He will be helping to vet options.

·        Old Business:

o   Member dues: New cycle begins in January. Dues may be paid on the website – Paypal or CashApp or in person by cash or check.

o   Updated website – Pam-Vetan. He has not had time to work on the website as he’ll get to it soon.

o   T-shirts – Matt is working on the design.

o   Possible next drill weekend at the NRC – April 5, 2025. Awaiting confirmation from NRC leadership.

·        New Business:

·        Claudia – possible NRC Dining In towards end of year. Would like to have CPOA attend to build it together.

·        Norm – there are new parameters around retired ID. Please check with the local commands for the correct gouge. NRC ID machine still down.  

·        Good of the Order:

·        Pam read the Navy history as found in the agenda.  

·        (Ron presented the board with the 2024 accounting brief. An accounting of all the income as well as expenditures of the 501(c)3. This occurred prior to the start of the meeting.)
